this is kind of what i mean. i know a guy i presume is a great deal like dave. he is into imaging and lasers and knows loads about loads. probably what dave would be like if he applied himself and were in his early thirties. but the poor guy has no street smarts whatsoever, not really any artistic skills to speak of... and hasn't gotten laid in years if at all. i've always been taught that the brightest and best must be well-rounded. so that's how i judge a person's smarts and character. not to discount dave's smartness, i just wouldn't call him anything more than an average genius.

i feel as though i can make this judgment since he is always discussing his cleverness, too.

 

Ress, I'm not going to lie, I didn't like you at all at first. You came off quite obnoxious, got in a lot of fights with Piaf and the way you format your posts is kinda annoying. It was quite a while before I decided I like you. But I do like you now.

yea Resso, something about your image. The backwards name, the daggered format, and lack of an avatar or signature. it does leave more to the imagination, though.

my first impression of Laura was that she was a a oddball, goth chick who would totally dig going to an Adema concert.

and kozmicblue looks like my best friends sister in her sig pic. so I always imagine you with a lisp and dry wit.

The situation with Piaf was sort of complicated.We used to get on extremely well and have chatted a huge amount in the past.

The 2nd fall out particularly, an outsider would probably laugh at.I was in the process of offering to do sthg for her .But we sort of started rubbing each other up the wrong way one day.And it all kicked off massively - which I really didn't forecast.I suppose this s'times happens when people have expectations.

Rows over pm's are usually pretty daft ultimately.I'm far from perfect sometimes.But I always believe in finding ways of burying hatchets.Otherwise its a bit sad IMO.Anyways,there's only 1 of us online currently...

I think its like society wants to take a "genius" and sort of shunt them away in a corner.It doesn't believe in making them "rounded" and fully "free".Which is a big shame IMO
