have you kept it as a pet? I've always wanted my own Raven but i travel too much to be a good bird-dad.

I have always been one to rescue birds in distress. This past summer, I was in my kayak when I spotted a young swallow struggling to keep from drowning. I let him climb up my paddle and took him home. I couldn't get him to eat, until a bug flew by and he gulped it up. 10 minutes later he had his energy back and flew off.

No but I thought about it long and hard because he was so smart and just so cool but I could not imagine keeping something in my house that once flew whenever and wherever it chose. They are easy to feed but they are a bit of work to clean up after. I released him after fixing the wing and enjoying his company a bit.

It can but she is not what you may think. Very shy and gentle. I have several different species and some I can not handle but she allows me to do this once in awhile. I don't do it frequently since they don't really care for it.

Their exoticness has made them popular pets, but snakes require at least a 30gallon tank, frequent checkups, carefully controlled temperatures and application of anti-mite pesticides. Captive-bred snakes often suffer in cramped, unsanitary conditions that can create delayed health problems, and pet store employees may be poorly trained in advising customers how to care for them. Don't neglect proper veterinary care.
