Dazed and Confused taught you that, didn't it Slater FTW "Behind every good man there is a woman, and that woman was Martha Washington, man, and everyday George would come home, she would have a big fat bowl waiting for him, man, when he come in the door, man, she was a hip, hip, hip lady, man." "George Washington was in a cult, and the cult was into aliens, man." "Didja ever look at a dollar bill, man? There's some spooky shit goin' on there. And it's green too."
Guys, you don't have to worry, this will not effect swishers and cigars, just cigarettes. And this is just another part of what happened a few years back when Camel took their exotics from the market. Actually there were not supposed to be any flavored cigarettes since then, as "flavored" (in this sense meaning labeled as a certain flavor, like the crema, lime, etc) by nature are technically considered as being advertised to children, which is illegal. This new move is just more solid, as to specifically make it illegal, not to just make it illegal by a technicality. And it won't stop any flavored cigarettes. All cigarettes are flavored. They have things like cocoa and molasses to add flavor and smooth them out. But like I said, this just targets things specifically labeled as flavors. Really the only thing this will change (as it relates to products being removed) is ciggs like the sweet dreams that have chocolate and other flavors But rest assured, your flavored cigars, pipe tobacco, and blunt wraps will remain. What I want to know is what the hell is the ATF going to be now? Just the AF? Could be bad news.... might put alcohol under the FDA as well, and turn the ATF into just the Firearms bureau to focus on stealing our guns
I thought this was funny though Because of this new law: *Require retailers to verify age for all over-the-counter sales Ok.... because up till now you didn't have to be 18 and show ID to buy smokes? What are they talking about? *Restrict vending machines and self-service displays to adult-only facilities Again, they already are. Currently bars, strip clubs, etc are the only place you can have cig machines. *Ban free giveaways of any non-tobacco items with the purchase of a tobacco product or in exchange for coupons or proof of purchase, That one really pisses me off. The damn government just wants to fuck with smokers, it has nothing to do with health or safety. Tobacco companies giving out freebies has absolutely no effect on health in any way, shape, or form. I've got so many free lighters and ash trays from the tobacco companies, guess that will be no more! *Ban all remaining tobacco-brand sponsorships of sports and entertainment events, This one I don't really care about, but NASCAR is probably going to loose some money haha. *Require detailed disclosure of ingredients, nicotine and harmful smoke constituents This one I stand behind 100% I know smoking is horrible for your health, but I still want to know specifically what's in there. Although, like everything the government does, they are going to make the problem worse, not better. It should tell you something the tobacco companies are so happy about this bill. Once the nicotine level is reduced, people will buy more cigarettes, and smoke more, because they need the nicotine. All of the new taxes/fees are not going to effect the tobacco companies as they will pass the price onto us. So the government is helping out the tobacco companies by increasing how much people smoke, with pretty much no negative effects towards the tobacco companies. When you normally smoke a pack a day, and now have to smoke a pack and a half to get the nicotine you want, not only are the tobacco companies going to make more money, but you are going to be in MORE of a health risk because you will be smoking more. And nicotine has not been proven to cause cancer. Tobacco does, regardless of if it is smoked or consumed in other ways. Nicotine by itself has not been proven to cause cancer, and nicotine can be extracted from a lot of other plants, not just tobacco. Tobacco just has far higher concentrations of it. So the result of this bill will be: more money for tobacco companies, less money for us, and worse health for us. Thanks a lot, Obama! And I did like you, before you started doing everything the right has accused that you would, and I never believed! Communism in america by 2012
They are already banning flavoured cigarillos such as prime times. They are the only tobacco I'll smoke..mixed with weed for that extra kick.
Only possibly those from the nightshade family...Mandrake, Datura, Potato... Ever try smokin' potato's? :ack2: ZW
