Both my kids' birthdays are in this month, and I like the amethyst birthstone...

I am however, sick of winter at this point...

 

That's the understatement of the week. There has been snow on the ground here almost continuously since the week before Christmas.

 

You people who get "sick" of winter obviously aren't TRUE snowboarders.

tried it once. once i got about a fifth of whiskey down me, courtesy of the guys at the bar who saw my boyfriend abandon me, i managed to smoothly glide down the hill, unstrap my feet and go back to partying.

 

Snowboarding is the party!! But yeah its something that takes energy and muscle. Other than that it's like you are in a video game its awesome.

 

Jealous! I have yet to see snow and it's unlikely that I will

We are now getting a bit of freezing rain, so tonight the fireplace may be the only heat that we have. I hope not. Ice around here almost always brings tree limbs down onto power lines.
