    Mmm, I like.

Though mind follows determinism as it responds in kind to stimulus. A reactive process, not as solid as the material description presented, and we can seemingly steer ourselves but that assumption is also dependant on a fairly arbitrary attempt at establishing an identity within a volume of white noise. Our preferences or environmental circumstances that determine where we can take our lives can be likened to the density gaps in the gas cloud.

An infinitely more complex system, at least seemingly so from our limited perception, but the fact that individuality exists in a limited 3 dimensional space severely and immediately restricts our capacity to truly take hold and execute the magnitude of what free will can truly imply.

Besides, free will is contradicts itself in the first place since it is then a slave to initial intention... teetering on nihilism with that one I know, but only if you get stuck in your head.

you are perhaps unfamiliar with pressure vessels of propane or compressed air?
are you perhaps unfamiliar with the term 'brownian motion'? (which refers to the movement of molecules in a gas)
we find many things in the universe. what we do not find are limits to the range of possibilities. only that some things happen a great deal more often then others.
individually no. statistically yes. i'm not implying that they have will. only illustrating the absence of a conflict.
