I'm not so sure this is a very good idea. He has other ideas here other than what he's telling you. Trust me, I've pulled it off successfully. But now I'm married and happy, and if my wife came to me with this idea, I'm sure I wouldn't be ok with it, nor would she be ok with me going out with some girl..... Someone mentioned above that all 4 of you should go out. Thats the way to go here...... he doesn't need you alone to get to know you on a friends level.

i think its hilarious hearing people that have no idea of a given situation give labels.
you guys might think you know something but you only know a certain side of a thing and only a given person can know whether they are an alcoholic or not.

personally, i am not.... i dont even believe in the same definition that most western people do so i really am not going to get into it because the terms talked about would mean different things to most of you then to me.

i was defiantly having a problem with alcohol at one point but alcohol wasnt the problem in itself.... it was the "solution" to another problem which i have since corrected.
