I am a senior in college, and I don't have to prove that. I am in Engineering and not English. I am not the best speller, and I type fast so sometimes I mispell things and don't always correct them.

I'm starting a media writing degree (so English after a fashion), and still regually make errors in spelling and grammar. So obviously I'm not going to care about others petty mistakes.
As long as we get the gist of the message, and the poster is humble enough to accept that they, just like everyone else, make mistakes. Spelling or otherwise.

I don't eat much American food because American dishes (hamburgers, hotdogs, fast food, etc.) emphasize meat too much.

I prefer asian food which seems to be more veggie based (stirfry).
I enjoy asian foods as well. Mostly Indian

But just because you think the 'American meat industry' is corrupt does not make eating meat wrong.
Well, yes it does when the meat industry is the #1 cause of water pollution in the U.S. When cattle are forced to live on their own feces, face daily injections of unnatural chemicals that are not needed, when the meat industry deprives third world nations of food, and when animals face slow and painful deaths. I'm so sorry that I've done research. Please excuse my curiosity and intelligence.

I realize that. But that doesn't mean I can't state a few facts.

Them looking at me in disgust for eating meat makes just about as much sense as me looking at them in disgust for not eating meat.
Actually. Most vegetarians do get looks of disgust. And looking at you in disgust would probably make more sense, as vegetarians are less likely to die of heart disease, and less likely to eat a cow that was skinned alive.

I'm not sure what definition you have of hippy, but there really isn't one. I'd say its like calling yourself a true American. You were born in America, you'd think that would make you American. But no, if you attack the president, yer un-american. If you join the army, you're american, if you hate osama, you're american, and vice-versa.

The reason it annoys me so when a senior in college can't read or write (if the guy is even for real) is that it devalues my own degrees. Kind of like when a bunch of rednecks move into the house next to yours and don't mow the lawn. It brings the property values down.

 

Not necessarily in all cases... it wouldn't actually bring it down so much but if you were to attempt to sell it you'd have a hard time trying... now, if a big community with $500,000 houses was built, that would be a different story.

Hey people that keep harassing me about my spelling in this statement. Who cares to point out what's wrong? I count two misspelled words and 3-4 grammatical errors. So all this harassment started because I spelled two words wrong? I guess the title 'self righteous' hippies makes sense then.
