Jesus Christ and most of those who followed Him died terrible deaths. They died that way because they knew the truth, and did not worry about offending the religious leaders of that day. Jesus is not a saint, He is the God that created this world. The prophecies are the evidence as to who Jesus is. The reason people donot want to consider Christ, is they donot want to subject themselves to His moral code of conduct. And the devas cannot exist in harmony, if they are all obvious liars, which give one spiritual code to one group, and another code to another. And if you can ignore that obvious fact, then it is apparent you will believe anything except that which offers obvious evidence, that can be tested.

Well I have friends that are serving in positions over seas, and one of the first things a woman notices when her family becomes christian, is that their husbands start to treat them as human beings, and not cattle. Ask any american woman who suddenly finds herself in a middle eastern country with her husband. Ask her about how she is treated over there. You don't have a clue. Ask her how many feet she has to walk behind her husband, and ask her what happens to her if she even looks at another man. Dignity, give me a break.

I would never let my son or daughter die for a cow. What it shows is great ignorance and stupidity. And thats what you get out of a false religion.

There is no other name under heaven given unto men to be saved but the name Jesus Christ. New Testament.

No man comes unto the Father but by Me. Jesus Christ.

Who so ever believes in Me shall be saved. Jesus Christ.

Unless a man is Born Again he will not see the Kingdom of God. Jesus Christ.

If I should let a man believe a lie and go to Hell, do you believe that would be loving them?

Oh so you are saying we should just let those people die. Oh yeah, that will solve a lot of problems. Well I cant wait to see Hinduism take care of the sick and needy arount the planet. Yet untill that day happens (dont hold your breath) I guess are decaying christian church will just keep doing it. Because that's what Jesus told us to do.

P.S. Dan Browns basings were proven false by 20/20 on the ABC Network.

Also according to Jesus Christ, He stated that when He returns to Earth He questioned if there would be any faith left on the earth. The fact that their are fewer Christians on earth today is a sign that His return is drawing closer.
Also the Bible clearly states that the end of time would be near, when the Jews return to Israel, when they retake Jerusalem, and Jerusalems East Gate would be sealed. All of this has happened. A point I'm sure you will ignore. Because when you imbrace guys like Dan Brown, who cares about facts.

You convert only gullibe fools and no one else

Stop beating around the bush and answer these questions

1.Did jesus christ derive inspiration from Hinduism and spend the later part of his life in India ?

2.Is the bible the most genocidal book in history of mankind ?

3.Are you a big fan of Ann coutler ?

My answer's to the above three questions would be a big YES!

People everywhere die horrible deaths, it doesn't validate or invalidate their lives and beliefs.
They died because a court found them guilty and they were killed. I'll give you that much, but it still proves nothing about Christianity.
What moral code is that? The one the majority of Christians live by, or the one your supposed savior preached and lived teaching?
The devas exist in perfect harmony. It is only the imperfection of people that separate them. It is karma that brings us to a different path. Your Jesus preaches peace, love, and acceptance. Your god makes promises to put away his bow and remain at peace with humanity. Your false christ leads the Christians to war with their neighbors. Your Christians follow the false christ and show nothing but ignorance and arrogance towards their religious neighbors. In reality, Christianity is in perfect harmony with Hinduism, as much as it is with every other religion. It is the imperfection of humanity that has misguided religions into separate paths away from the true path that all religions followed.

But you would be eager to let your son or daughter die for a radical man that lived thousands of years ago and was considered so insane by the times' government he was put to death?

You still dodge the question about what makes you so certain of this apparent truth. You repeat over and over again that Jesus has fulfilled 300 prophesies, but you don't state what it is that makes you so certain that this is real. Hundreds of classical authors composed epics where heroes fulfilled prophesies. What separates the Bible from other classical literature?
Furthermore, how much time have you spent studying other religions? Arrogance is the fruit of ignorance. To not be arrogant infers an amount of empathy and understanding on the part of other religious groups.

Is this relationship not comparable to the way you see yourselves in comparison to your god?
    As you said yourself:
You appear more eager to do what your told than to live for yourself. Hinduism, as you yourself also stated allows people to be comforted through harsh times. I'm sure that India is quite content on its own without the Christian intervention.

Jesus: A Christ of East and West- excerpt from Man's Eternal Quest- Paramahansa Yogananda (this was written in 1938 and another bit in 1945)

"Jesus Christ is a liaison between East and West. That great master stands before my eyes, telling Orient and Occident: 'Come together! My body was born in the East; my spirit and message traveled to the West.' In Christ's birth as an Asiatic nad his acceptance by Western peoples as their guru, is a divine implication that East and West should unite by exchanging their finest distinctive features. It is part of the drama of God that the West was meant to have material power, and the East spiritual power, so that amity might come through an interchange of their characteristic qualities. THe spiritual freedom of the East overrides material suffering. The West needs that kind of spiritual freedom; God's Western children, being more fortunate physically and materially, need to develop spiritually and to recieve the spiritual illumination of the East. And the East needs Western material development; God's Eastern children should welcome the help of the West, that they may industrialize Asia , and thus enable her to develop and use her resources to the fullest advantage.
The American way of living progressively, plus the spirituality of India--you cannot beat that combination. India is the melting pot of religions; America, the melting pot of nations. America became great because of her love of liberty and because she welcomed all nations to her shores--she absorbed the best of all nations. No other country was founded on and has grown on such wonderful ideals; the freedom and exceptional way of life that hve been created in America by these ideals must never be lost.
Many in the West believe that Easterners are materially poor because they are spiritually wealthy. This is not true. And many Easterners believe that Westerners are spiritually poor because they are materially rich. This is not the case either. The truth is that we human beings become too one-sided; we need to seek a balance by drawing the best from one another.

Jesus is a divine colossus standing between Orient and Occident, telling East and West to exchange their better qualities. Can you see him there? I see him. He urges the West to spiritualize itself and the East to industrialize itself--the East to accept Western missionaries of science and industry nad the West to accept the Eastern missionaries of the Spirit. To the West he says: 'Love you Eastern brothers. I came from the Orient.' To the East he pleads: 'Love your Western brothers; they have recieve and loved me, an Oriental.' Isn't that a beautiful thought? It would make a magnificent picture.

Christ is not the property of either East of West--an East-West bond is manifested in his life. He belongs to both and to all the world. His universiality is what makes him so wonderful. Jesus took the body of an Oriental so that in being accepted as guru by the Occidental he would thereby symbolically draw East and West together. Those in the West who have adopted Christ as their own should remember that he was an Oriental. Love and sympathy for Jesus should be expanded into love and sympathy for all Orientals, and for all the world.
God does not prefer Orientals or Occidentals. He loves those who manifest His spiritual qualities. Why, then, was it ordained by God that Christ, a great savior of mankind, came out of the East? God wanted to come with the downtrodden, to show the transcendence of the Spirit over matter. We should not conclude that it is necessary to be poor to be Christlike; if Jesus had come in a properous country, it would be equally foolish to reason that Christ Consciousness can be attained through material things, or that God favours the materially rich. A balance between spirituality and material development is necessary.
The ideals of Christ are hte ideals of the scriptures of India. The precepts of Jesus are analogous to the highest Vedic teachings, which were in existance long before the advent of Jesus. This does not take away from the greatness of Christ; it shows the eternal nature of truth, and that Jesus incarnated on earth to give the world a new expression of Sanatan Dharma (eternal religion, the eternal principles of righteousness). In the Book of Genisis we find an exact parallel of the other Hindu concept of genesis of our universe. The Ten Comandments of Moses, many of the Biblical legends and figures and rituals, the miracles performed by Christ, the very basics of Christian docterine, all have con comitance with the earlier Vedic literature of India. The Teachings of Christ in the New Testament and of Krishna in the Bhagavad Gita have an exact correspondance.

The parallelisms of Christ's teachings with Yoga-Vedanta doctrines strongly support of the records know to exist in India, which state that Jesus lived and studied there during fifteen of the unaccounted for years of his life--no mention is made of him in the New Testament from his twelfth to thirtieth year. Jesus journeyed to India to return the visit of the three "wise men from the east" who came to pay homage to him at his birth. THey were guided to the Christ CHild by the divine light of a star--not a physical luminary, but the star of the omniscient spiritual eye. This 'third eye' can be seen within the forehead, between the eyebrows, by the deeply meditating devotee. THe spiritual eye is a metaphysical telescope through which one can see to infinity in all directions simultaneously beholding with omnipresent spherical vision whatever is happening in any point in creation. The spiritual eye has been mention in the teachings of India, and Jesus referred to it too: ' The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.' (Matthew 6:22). Brought thus to the stable in Bethlehem by the guiding light of the spiritual eye, the Wise Men recognized and honored the infant Christ or the great soul and divine incarnation that he was. During the unknown period of his life Jesus repaid their visit.

Even in the name and title of Jesus we find Sanskrit words with a corresponding sound and meaning. The words Jesus and Isa (pronounced 'Isha') are substantially the same. Is, Isa, and Iswara all refer to the Lord, or Supreme Being. 'Jesus derives from the Greek form of the name Joshua or Jeshua, a contraction of Jehoshua, 'help of Jehovah' or 'Savior'
The title of 'Christ' is also found in India--it was perhaps given to Jesus there in the word 'Krishna', which sometimes is purposely spelled 'Christna' to show the correlation. There aremany derivations givien tot he word 'Krishna', the most common of which is 'dark', refering to the hue of Krishna's complextion. (He is often shown as dark blue to connote divinity. Blue is also hte color of the Christ Consciousness when epitomized in the spiritual eye as a circle of dark blue light surrounding the star meantioned earlier .)
According to Sridatta Sarma, of the various other meanings given to the word 'Krishna', several are found in the Brahmavaivarta Purana. He states that according to one of these derivations, 'Krishna means the universal Spirit. Krsi denotes a generic term, while na conveys the idea of the self, thus bringing forth the meaning of "Omniscient Spirit"' In this we find a parakkek ti the Christ Consciousness as the Intelligence of God omnipresent in creation. It is of interest that a colloquial Bengali rendering of 'Krishna' is 'Krista' (cf. Greek Christos and Spanish Chisto). 'Christ' and 'Krishna' are titles signifying divinity, meaning that these two avatars were one with God. While residing in physical form their consciousness expressed the one ness with the Christ Consciousness (Sanskrit: Kutastha Chaitanya), the Intelligence of God omnipresent in creation. This consciousness is also called the 'only begotten son of God' because it is the sole perfect reflection in creation of the Uncreated Infinite.

To understand what Christ Consciousness means, consider the contrast between your consciousness nad that of a little ant. The ant's awareness is limited by the minuscule size of his body; your consciousness resides throughtout your relatively capacious form. If anyone touches any part of your body you are aware of it. Creation is the body of God, and His consciousness omnipresent therein in called Christ Consciousness. He is aware of whatever we do within His universal form, just as we are conscious of our little selves. Through oneness with that Christ Consciousness Jesus was able to know without being told, that Lazarus was dead.
The wonders of God's creation cannot be discovered by a cow; it is the unique potential of human beings to attain the omniscience of oneness with Christ Consciousness. I ask those who do not believe in God: 'Whence came the intelligence in man and the universe, if it is not produced in some divine "Factory" hidden behind the ether?' Such mysteries prompted Einstein to say that space looks very suspicious. Space is concealing God; His Intelligence is hidden there, for out of the 'nothingness' of space comes everything.

First of all you don't know what a deva is. Even if you do, you have obviously no inkling of the spiritual code of Hinduism, which is not given by the devas, but by the vedas, scriptures which predate the bible by several thousand years.

And even if you do know anyuthing about al of this, there is nothing wrong with giving one set of instructions to one group and another set of instructions to another. The goal is the same. The effects are the same. The disciple's mindsets are varied, so according to each one's needs they are given a particular path to follow. This does not create disharmony or error, it creates richness and diversity. That is the beauty of Hinduism, that people of every mindset and every state of evolution can find a suitable path within it.

You are the one who is constantly referring to evidence of Christ's divinity, that he fulfilled the prophesies, etc. I never asked for any evidence, I am quite happy to accept that Christ is God, every bit as much as Rama and Krishna and Allah.

Being one with this Intelligence, which guides ever atom in creations, Jesus could materialize his form anywhere he wished. ANd he can still do so, just as he used to appear every night to St. Francis of Assisi. Jesus was conscious not only of his microcosmic physical form, but also of all creation ashis macrocosmic body; he could truthfully say: 'I and my Father are one' (John 10:30). He experienced his presence in all atoms, even as does his Father. Jesus alluded to the omnipresent Christ Consciousness when he said, ' Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without [the sight of] your Father' (Matthew 10:29).
Christ came at a critical time in history, when the world was sorely in need of spiritual hope and regeneration (In the Bhagavad Gita the Lord says: 'O Bharata (Arjuna)! whenever virtue (dharma) declines and vice (adharma) predominates, I incarnate as an Avatar. In visable form I appear from age to age to pretect the virtuous and to destroy evildoing in order to reestablish righteousness'- IV: 7-8) . His message was not intended to foster multifarious sects, east claiming him as their own. His was a universal message of unity, one of the grandest ever given. He reminded mankind that it is written in the scriptures, ' Ye all are gods' (John 10:34); and St. John voiced the inspiration and spirit of Christ's teaching when he said, 'But as many as recieved him [the Christ Consciousness manifested in Jesus and all creation], to them he gave power to become the sons of God' (John 1:12) Was there ever a greater message? Jesus assured the downtrodden, the white and the dark man, the Oriental and the Occidental, that they are all children of God; whoever is pure in heart, no matter what his race or color, can recieve the Lord.
The charcoal and the diamond recieve the same rays of the sun, but the diamond reflects their radience. So, both in the Orient and the Occident, those who have diamond mentalities shall reflect God and be called sons of God, and those who keep themselves dark with evil qualities shall not be able to reflect His light.

All mankind should open its heart of Jesus' great message. '[God] hath made of one blood all nations of men' (John 1:12). That is the Christ inspiration I love so much. I want to make that message a living reality, to give it a practical application. Color prejudice is the most foolish of all man's displays of ignorance. Color is only skin deep. God gave darker skin pigment to races that originally lived under climatic conditions requiring greater protection from the sun, a purely practival measure; therefore white, yellow, red, or black skin is nothing to be particularly proud of. After all, the soul wears a bodily overcoat of one color in one lifetime and other hues in other incarnations. So the color of one's complextion is a very superficial thing. To have any color prejudice is to discriminate against God, who is sitting in the hearts of all red, white, yellow, olive, and black peoples of the world. Besides, it is well to remember that whoever hates any race will surely reincarnate in that bodily form; thus does the karmic law force man to overcome his osul-stifling prejudices. Train your heart to feel the brotherhood of man--that is most important.
Although Jesus' teachings were preordained to establish their strongest foundation in the West, he chose an incarnation in an Oriental body, and in the Jewish race, which has had a long history of persecution, because he wanted to demonstrate the folly ofjudging others according to distinctions of race and color. True Christianity must be lived; racial divisions must be banished. Prejudices and lack of real brotherhood are causes of war and disunion among God's Children. We must work at eradicating all incitements to war; in hate and prejudice lie bombs nad misery. Jesus warned: '...for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword.' (Matthew 26:52) It is not the sword, but the practice of Christ principles that shall ultimately free the world. In the highest sense, God alone protects you. You can best help this world by ideal living, as taught by Christ adn all spiritually enlightened ones. Above all else, love God; don't you see the whole answer is in His hands? When He will push aside the screen of mystery, you will see the answer to all that was theretofore obsure and unfathomable.

Some Westerners consder Hindus heathens; they don't know that many Hindus consider Westerners heathens also--ignorance if fifty-fifty everywhere. I am sometimes asked if I believe in Jesus. I reply: 'Why such a question? We in India reverce Jesus and his teachings, perhaps more than you do.'

In order to love Christ you must live what he taught, you must follow the example of his life. Jesus said: '...whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.' (Matthew 5:39). India has practiced this teaching more than any other nation. Many who call themselves Christians do not even apply it; they say that it is a beautiful philospophy, but if you were to slap them they would return twelve slaps, a kick and maybe a bullet! Anyone who retaliates is not a true Christian, or lover of Christ, for that is not hte spirit of the all-forgiving Jesus.

Everytime you see the symbol of the Cross it should remind you of what it stands for--that you must bear your crosses with right attitude, even as Jesus did. When you mean well and still you are misunderstood or mistreated, instead of being angry you should say as Christ did: 'Father forgive them for they know not what they do.' Why forgive one who wrongs you? Because if you angrilly strike back you misrepresent your own divine soul nature--you are no better than your offender. But if you manifest spiritual strength you are blessed and the power of your righteous behavior will also help the other person to overcome his misunderstanding.

Those eternal principles of truth and righteousness taught by Jesus we take very seriously in India--we take them literally, without rationalizing them to suit our purposes. Jesus said : And everyone that hath forsaken houses, or breatheren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands for my name's sake, shall recieve an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.' That spirit of renunciation for God is all pervasice in India. Especially in olden days it was the ideal of every man to give at least one part of his lifetime to God alone.........The message of Christ is one of compassion and forgiveness, renunciation (in spirit if one cannot fo it in actuality), morality, brotherly love and unity and equality, and supreme love for God. Remember Jesus' admonition: 'And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?' ( Luke 6:46). The authenticity of the life of Christ had been questioned by many agnostics. Some have propounded the theory that Jesus was a legendary, his life a mere ficticious drama. I know that Christ was real, for I have seen him many times. Jesus was not fair complextioned as most of you in the West. He had dark skin. And his eyes were not pale blue, as many artist paint them; they were dark. Nor was his hair blond; it also was dark.....

Jesus promised to send tthe Holy Ghost, the Great Comforter (John 14:16,26; 15:26)...Through preactice of the Self Realization techniques of meditation, the faithful student is able to realize the fulfillment of that promise. Worshiping Jesus is not truly meaningful until one can expand his consciousness to recieve within himself the Christ consciousness. That is the second coming of Christ. Unless you do your part, a thousand Christs come on earth would not be able to save you. You have to work for your own salvation. Then Christ can help you.

The First two lines of Rudyad Kipling's poem became famous: 'East is East and West is West, and never the twain shall meet...' But just because I eat curry and you eat apple pie, why sould there be division between us? Division is imaginary lines drawn by small minds. It is the result of superiority complexes, nad it is the cause of wars and pernicious troubles. We must destroy division. Look to the example of the great Christ who came in the East and stands as a lofty ideal before East and West, telling them, 'Here am I in the midst of you; learn from one another, balance your spirituality and material development.' There he stands--a Christ of East and West--linking the two hemispheres with his message of unity. Can you not see him?"

This is a prime example of misunderstood teaching. When you study the words of a great master, you HAVE to take into account WHEN he said it, to WHOM, in WHAT context. Otherwise you get stuck with the literal meaning of the words and then you lose the spirit of the teaching, the principle behind it.

When it was said Do not wear clothing made from two kinds of fiber, I don't think it meant a blanket ban on other blended fabrics. It meant be consistent, stick to one path. If you are with one Guru, one religion, stick to it faithfully. That does not mean that you disrespect other paths, but only that you maintain your practice consistently in one discipline (for obvious reasons).

Further, almost all scriptures speak in terms of "only" and "no other way" in order to give emphasis to the importance of what they are teaching, not in order to deny the veracity of others. Even in Hinduism it is said in different places that meditation is the only way, or chanting the name is the only way, love is the only way, etc. The thing is that all these things are not mutually exclusive. Out of love, one constantly remembers the name. By constantly remembering the name the mind becomes single pointed, which eventually culminats in meditation.

At the time when Christ was teaching, in that place, there was a lot of spiritual confusion, therefore he unified all his disciples under that one practice. But I dont think Christ would have ever stopped anyone from using a different symbol of divinity. In that time and place, Christ was the strongest, most potent and undeniable symbol of divinity therefore he told people to use his name.

No man comes unto the Father but by Me. Jesus Christ.

Here Jesus is taking on the role of the Guru, the teacher. No man can reach enlightenment, god realization, liberation, nirvana, moksha, call it what you like, without the help and guidance of the Guru at some stage of life. Hence Jesus says, without me (the guru) there is no way of reaching God. This is echoed in Hindu scriptures repeatedly.

Who so ever believes in Me shall be saved. Jesus Christ.

Also he does not say that if anyone follows some other way of worshipping the same god he will not be saved.

Unless a man is Born Again he will not see the Kingdom of God. Jesus Christ.

In this statement is contained the essential wisdom fo all vedas. Vedanta says that we have to die to the body, the individual self and be born to the higer self, the realization of our true identity, our oneness with the supreme lord. This is why brahmins (brahmin means he who has realized God) in Hinduism are called twice-borns.

If you see a man living a lie and will go to hell, do all you can to save him. But first make sure you know the truth before you embark on such a quest, lest you drag a man off the path to heaven through your error.

And dont forget that the bible as you see it today is a translation of a translation of a translation. And I know from studying Hindu and Buddhist texts that translations can easily modify the original meaning. Therefore, the bible may have lost a lot of its original intent in translation. A true Christian should go back to the original text in Aramaic, learn the language thoroughly, then study the bible in its true form before condemning the rest of the world on such shaky evidence.
