We have the Incredibles DVD but we haven't watched much of the special features disc. Well actually, my oldest put it on one day and my twins freaked out with that mini-skit thing of baby Jack-Jack bursting into flames. Ugghh, they started screaming and crying like heck and I had to turn off the screen before they totally wigged out. :p

I remember watching the first season of Sesame Street in like 1969. I miss Count Count too. I also miss The Electric Company, Morgan Freeman taught me how to rhyme and spell.

i was never really that big of a fan of it. not that i disliked it particularaly either. when i was the age it was supposedly aimed at, all we had was captain kangaroo. anybody remember that?

we didn't even have dr suess books in my schools until i was in the third grade and they were introducing them in kindergarten. how anybody ever learned to read from jane can run is beyond me.

my dad started reading me pogo stories, about a kid and his dog that went arround to different kinds of industries and stuff and being showen how they worked, (this was in the early 50s), aesop's fables, and, believe it or not, emerson and therou and the poetry of edward a guest.

well i like the idea of the muppets. i actualy remebered kermie's first appearances on ed sulliven, long before the muppet show was even thought of. dark crystal was really the apex for henson and oz and a wonderful apex it was.

as for 'the street', well i never was much of a city person, even if i've lived a bit of my life in them since, so i never really related all that well to the context (besides i think i was over 30 before it started!)

i can't really comment on its current itteration as i can't say as i've seen it.

something totaly different you might like though are the web casts of the funday paw pet show. though if you don't know much about furrys it may seem a bit odd and "inside" though.

    http://www.pawpet.org/

not at all like sensimia street and NOT really intended for immature audiences (though there isn't any real porn, just a lot of 'adult' inuendo, colorful language, that sort of thing, just the sort of thing random thoughters seem to love, though in, as i say a context, maybe a bit way different from what most of you are probably used to)

*sings* "Conjuction junction what's your function?! Hooking up words and phrases and clauses..."

Man, that School House Rock really does rock. My kids even love it, and go around singing all the songs. We bought them the DVD a year ago. Too cute, and they're actually learning instead of filling their heads with the garbage cartoons they have nowadays. And the songs are pretty darn catchy!

And yes, I am a wimp, I admit it! I'm afraid of my own shadow, well, not really but, I'm a wuss, I get scared easily. [IMG]
