I'm 5'9 and my boyfriend is 5'6 and we have never had any problems. It's really not a big deal at all. I think you are worrying a bit overmuch.

Reason I ask is I've mostly known women to be turned off by the guy being shorter than them, and the majority of women are definitely more submissive types.

This is not true for me... believe it or not, not everyone has a relationship where one person has to be dominant and the other submissive.

I've dated tall guys and short guys, height doesn't particularly matter to me at all.
