Man, I've got n00dz everywhere, and I'm fine with it. If I'm sending someone n00dz, I'm doing it with the expectation that probably everybody in the world is gonna see it. If I had a problem with that, I wouldn't have sent them in the first place. Hurp durp.
Ugh. This is sad. Bullying doesn't matter what age you are. There's a lot of bullying going on between 20 - 30 yearolds that seems to go unnoticed, but can be as hard on them as a 13 year old. I got bullied when I was younger, I didn't care too much but it just depends on the emotional state of the person being bullied. To some people, it seems simple teasing, but to others it could seem like a lot worse. Especially from a person who trusted someone with something like that, I could see it being traumatizing, being made fun of for that...it's bad enough with the clothes on.
That's just one of many but it's the first time it's led to suicide Six Massachusetts teens may face child pornography charges after being caught "sexting," according to CNN. The boys, ages 12 to 14, got into trouble after one of them took semi-nude pictures of his 13-year-old girlfriend and sent them to the others. The parents of the boys admit that the teens used poor judgment, but insist that charges of child pornography would be excessively harsh. This is a delicate situation, to say the least. The boys involved are young, so does their age preclude them from being prosecuted? Did they actually commit a criminal act? Is this a case of technology turning six curious kids into knowing pornographers? Either way, "sexting" is emerging as an urgent new topic of discussion for parents and their children, as you'll see from the previous cases below. Hotwater
lol! Sorry, I can't relate to this kind of moral outrage/individual responsibility story. I'd be surprised if her parents and community gave her much in the way of genuine love.
it's a total TRIP how much difference a a couple years is gonna make on your emotional state, unless you're one of those who cling to drama. i don't see that happening to you. but every day i get farther away from my teenaged years is a better day than the last.
I am aware, my post was meant to be comical. it's called dead pan comedy, it was much more popular in the immediate post war years (ww2)
I would never want to find naked pics of me be spread around! That's so embarrassing. I know how it feels to be bullied over something...not as major as that, but I can see the depression and humiliation getting to the point of suicide because being bullied like that really does destroy your entire being and your self esteem.
I agree but she was still a teenager, just an older one. It doesn't mean she wouldn't of taken it to heart, it said she had it for at least a few months. It's pretty disheartening. I'm lucky.
She was the one that send the noods around. It was her own fault. The guy shouldn't have shown them around, but honestly, if he was THAT distrustworthy, then she should've realized and not given him nudeys. If he really is that much of a douche, chances are there were other signs of his faggotry and he would've shown signs. And she trusted him anyway. =/
Hmm, I don't think I made my point really. Point is, people get harassed at school, she really should've expected it with that particular mistake. Just move the fuck on, don't let petty shit get to you, especially when it's your own fault mann.
I didn't get the impression it was petty. Petty is trying to trip someone up when they walk past in the hallways. She was trying to get legal action! If that isn't a call for help, i don't knw what is.
Maybe it's just my personal opinion, but you really shouldn't let people harassing you/making fun of you fuck with your mind. I mean I lost my virginity to an asshole who cheated on me 2 wks after. He spread it around that I was "easy and good in bed", and I got shit for months after it. People were calling me whore, I got groped, blahblahblah. I mean I fought back, yeahhsure, but what are you gonna do? Just get over it, when you show you dont' care they'll leave you alone, cause 98% of em are only doing it to get a rise out of you. Seriously.
I wouldn't call it petty shit. And I don't think what the kids did was an isolated mistake. The educational/economic system is built on upsmanship, and that is what caused the suicide. In and of itself, having her nude pictures sent around could be flattering. The problem is, this is a kid who was abandoned by her family and community in favor of a system that promotes zero-sum upsmanship and penalizes personhood. I absolutely guarantee you, in a Montessorian school such a thing wouldn't happen. The blood of this kid is not only in the hands of the teenagers who sent her pictures around, as far as I'm concerned. They are responding to the society that their parents have created for them.
*rolls eyes* As I said, if you act like you don't care, they will most likely leave you alone, at least the majority will. Haha. Surival of the STRONGEST. So don't be a weak little pussy and crumble under pressure that you created for yourself.
