I don't really watch any tv with the exception of various shows on the discovery channel and "The Universe" on the history channel. I used to watch the news but it just bothered me

Yeah I can't watch the local news, usually only watch CNN or World News, local news gives me horrid anxiety.

i live in local philadelphia suburbs, like not even a half hour drive from philly and the news is depressing. themurder rates are rising dramatically and its so sad. my mom turns on the news, and before its even on she goes "I wonder who died now". like its terrible. theres like 2-3 people getting murdered in philly every day. :(

We managed to time our vacation to the beach basically right at the end of shark week (leaving tomorrow), so we'll all be nervous as hell in the water. Diving will be even better.
Planet Earth was some of the greatest programming I've ever seen. I'm really tempted to buy the whole set for $65 or some ungodly amount like that. The whole thing played on Animal Planet all last week, so whoever said it's never on should just check their listings. I think they'll show at least parts of it every now and then.
add - if you live on the coast of north america, you can be great white food (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Great_White_Shark_distribution.png)

i loveee the ocean. the idea of sharks doesn't really scare me, but because my family is always busy and a trip to the shore would be expensive or a hotel room for 6 people, we only go once in a while. i've been to the beach three times. and i'm gonna be 16 in two months

I like Planet Earth but I prefer it when it's out of the oceans, and whenever I turn it on it's always in the god damn water. I like watching Planet Carnivore mostly or just documentaries on big cats or hyenas. Hyenas are the shiznit. The sounds they make are crazy cool.

I love sharks. I think they are some very misunderstood creature. There was this one time in discovery channel that I watched, I dont remember who it was, but he started swimming from the least dangerous sharks and finished with a great white shark, just him in the ocean and what looked like a stick. It was scary. When he swims with the great white, the water is so foggy and you can barely see, but just the shadow of this BIG shark coming directly to him, he pinches his nose (was this stick magical?) and just changes his direction. It was amazing
