Shambala festival 2008

yay another one awesome. hope you can come!
there are lots of dealers there so you should be alright. we got hold of a variety of things, but often by luck and being in the right place at the right time so maybe bring yer own. security is practically non-existant too, we were fucked by the time we got off the coach to collect bands so not likely they'll take anything off you i think. never know though.
and as for punctuality..the coach was meant to pick us up at 9 30 am from bristol and it arrived about 3 30pm or something. hehe.
metalheads would hate it. seriously. tends to be folky acousticy types, drum n bass/psytrance that kind of stuff, weird gypsy bands.. hippy stuff basically. two bands i remember being there last year were luminescent orchestrii (awesome, though i missed them) and smerin's anti social club.

Fucking quality! Thanks! Ordering my ticket tonight, 3 of my stoner mates (who are big on the ol' D+B) are coming too. It's gonna be genius, I think I'll get a nice half together before going just in case. I guessed that it wasn't big on security when the festival info mentions nowt in it's rules.

be cautious and you should be fine although they had an official nos selling stall, so i doubt a bit of green would bother em much.

ach i hope everyone enjoys it now i've plugged it so much. 0.o ah well, by the sound of it you'll all be pretty inebriated so it probably will be fun regardless.

well, all i can say is good luck with that. if you're not enjoying yourself then you'll probably be moping in a tent somewhere, covered in mud on a phat comedown. whereas ME, i'm fuelled by joy, so i'll be zooming off having lots of fun, sex, drugs, and rock n roll (well, uh..drum n bass) and YOU won't catch me.

Someone off another forum not a million miles away would like to know if she could buy a ticket on the gate cos she'll be 18 by that time and can only afford a child's ticket, so wants to try her luck.

 

not sure about buying on the gate, but i didn't see any id-ing last year so... possibly, if she looks under 18. i don't think it was even a different wristband.

bit of a risk, but might be worth the money?

are you bringing any more peeps? we should try and have a community of tents with a communal green. i know at least five of my friends are coming along too, plus you, raven, sal probably, finnaz, your forum friend possibly. thats eleven right there awesome. the more the merrier..

I should be in ticket by the end of the week. My parents are demanding I get a list of people at school who are definitely going (they don't trust me with travel, last time I went on a train on my own going into london I was a little out of it and ended up in Bicester on the way to Norwich or summet. Fun times at 8 in the morning.

Oh and nynysnuts I shall be more than happy to share around mine. Weed's all I can really get though.

okay update on this: this year unlike last year they say they'll id anyone who looks over 14 to check the tickets are right. but then, what 14 year old has id?
anyway, that means it may be a bit stricter this year.
