This is a cover of Roger Miller's original "King of the Road" by the Statler Brothers. My parents raised me on their gospel and I still really love their harmony. And I have loved this song since I was about 4 years old. Haha.

This song reminds me of being a kid and going to my grandma's house with my family. My dad would put on a Neil Young cd and we would sing the whole way there.

 

Journey: Of A Lifetime Many people only know of the Steve Perry led Journey of 'Don't Stop Believin' and many of their more pop oriented songs of the 1980's. I prefer this mid 70's Journey which is a more prog oriented band and enjoy this song in particular as it has the epic rock quality a la Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple but with a signature mysterious, unique aura about it.

The guitarist Neil Schon and the drummer are amazing on this song...
