She WAS a bit yummy, actually...but happily married at the time...as was I...well, except for the "happy" part...her husband was one of the most intelligent and funny guys I've ever known, actually. They had a cool house in southern CA with a fireplace that separated the living room from the family room but displayed the fire in both rooms at the same time.

I served with her on our church pre-school board.

Okay, enough of my dweebish reminisces...

She appears to be intelligent and loving.

Gotta spend more money to keep up with her yearly shots, tho.

K, currently reports of gusts up to 64 mph in Milton, MA, which is just a few miles from where I am.

I am so impressed with CT governor Dan Malloy. He is keeping up a continual series of caring and sensible tweets regarding the storm.

At 8:46 he tweeted: "Keep your cell phones fully charged in the event of a potential power outage due to strong winds."

And just after that: "If you need to communicate with someone, texting is the best option rather than a phone call."

I want a governor like that.

    :D

To do that story justice takes a helluva lot of words. I wrote it all out in emails to my spirit guide Deanna once - back in 2010. I think those emails were quite well-composed, if I do say so myself.

Basically it starts out making me look like a Danger to Society...and ends up making me look like a slightly fucked-up victim of circumstance.

Bottom line is: The charges were dropped.

The charges were: Domestic assault. I spent almost 24 hours in a jail cell.

My crime: During an argument with my wife in 2005, I grabbed her wrists. I held on for approximately four seconds, as nearly as I can recollect. She yelled at me: "Get your hands off me!" Therefore I held on an extra two seconds, just to spite her. Then I let go.

My stepdaughter downstairs heard my wife, and called the police. According to the police report, she "wasn't sure what her stepfather was capable of."

This, from the girl who has falsely accused me of abuse and rape. Which further investigation eventually absolved me of.

The reason I spent a day in jail was because my blood alcohol level was just slightly above the limit - .6 percent. So the police had to hold me for my own protection. I was fully cooperative and pleasant in all my interactions with them, btw.

When the police arrived, they asked my wife: Did he touch you? She answered truthfully. And as a result, they were required by law to arrest me - even though she tried to get the charges dropped.

It was the first and only time I have ever touched her agressively in the midst of an argument, in 20 years of marriage. I have never been physically abusive with any woman other than this incident.

However she has touched ME aggressively in the midst of an argument prior to that, when we lived in Illinois. And I told her if she kept doing it I would call the police. And she stopped.

After this incident, and a year of probation, I made a vow to myself: I would never, never touch my wife again.

And I have held to that vow.

It gets to a point where you just need to say, fuck it. This relationship is not worth working on any more.

And yet: I continue to support my wife in her career goals, proofreading and editing her school papers and ministerial candidacy submissions, counseling her on interpersonal issues in her ministerial positions.

Would you call that love? I would.

So you were on probation, not parole.
