So now I know that about you. :) What do you enjoy then, in the way of films? My tastes are not confined to that genre, by any means, tho I find it particularly intriguing.

I started reading horror stories when I was 11 years old, from my parents' library - Edgar Allan Poe and H P Lovecraft. Also some Ray Bradbury - The Martian Chronicles - and my parents were fans of Stephen King as well.

However I cry every time I watch The Sound of Music. And I absolutely adore My Fair Lady and The Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. I played the role of a singin and dancin sailor boy in South Pacific in summer of 2002, and loved it. So where does that put me, genre-wise? :D

My room is full of my wife's leftover shit that she hasn't had time to sort through and deal with since she moved to a downstairs room...

So now it's just me and Deanna up here. With my wife's piles of shit. :D

I like Adventure, Comedy, Crime, Drama, History, Mystery, Romance, Westerns, and all of the above rolled into one makes for the best.

Not a real fan of Action, Animation, Fantasy (a bit is okay), Horror, Sci-Fi, or Thriller.

    Eclectic.

Are you sure those aren't r0llin's piles of shit?

Yeah, I like all that shit too. :D If it's done well, I mean.

Did you ever watch Tombstone? That one combines all the elements in your list - adventure, comedy, crime, drama, history, mystery, romance, and westerns - and I like it muchly. Especially the character of Doc Holliday as depicted in the film - played by Val Kilmer. "I'll be your huckleberry..." :D Oooo yeah, that Doc Holliday was one badass mofo. At least, as depicted therein.

Also, have you ever seen High Plains Drifter? Classic Clint Eastwood - iconic squint and all. :D It's one of the DVDs I own.

Oh well then. You hafta miss out on some cool shit, but that's just the way it is. ;)

    Good call.

I loved Tombstone. I'll have to go back and watch High Plains Drifter. I don't think I've ever sat down and watched that through.

My wife couldn't get past the rape scene. It was one of the defining moments in our relationship - a moment when I realized she was too full of her own bullshit to find meaning in things that really mattered.

Hmmm. You're probably not going to like the movie. Probably a bad suggestion on my part.

It's a bit overblown in a slightly tongue-in-cheek style. I mean, this is Clint Eastwood we're talking about - Dirty Harry.

Hey Aeri! I've thought about you today (well, yesterday) and I surely do hope you're feeling better

I watched that movie - The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo about 24 hours ago.

It made me a little crazy...I needed to hit the subtitles key so I could simply read what they were saying as opposed to trying to understand it. I needed :sultan: to divine what I was hearing! I forget how many times I hit pause rewind play. pause rewind play...over and over.

I'm generally pretty good with accents, but with that movie I find the subtitles helpful.

What I should have said is that I found the girl in the scene to seem really cheesy.

It's slow go, Lynn; but again, I'm not getting worse; or at least not rapidly.

I never got to watch The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo.
