First, i don't know if you have ever read my posts from the stoner lounge.

My desires, right now all i need in my life is a girlfriend/partner. I don't want to get married and i don't want kids.

I have had some terrible and weird unluck last few years.

I think i know the answer, i can't prove it, and that is i wont get a new girlfriend, tell i fix somethings in my life. Then i am ready.

Now do i agree with this, FUCK no...

If im honest with myself, would i want a girl with me when im taking care of a few things? No, because i can't lose focus on her, and i will be distracted if i don't finish my original problem.

This is very spiritual and psychology deep here.

No short cuts. I know this, but its such a bitch.

I have learned in these last two years, the more i take care of my shit, the more reward i will gather, but the only reward i want is the girl, and its the last piece.

I think when i get the girl, that will be the sign im out of redemption.

Brother broony, I feel your pain. It's my pain too.

 

I understand exactly what you are saying there, Broony. And really, a person doesn't have to be in an occupation (like counseling) for them to make a huge difference in people's lives. In what you do, working in the food industry, you are around people a lot! I would bet you have had a major (good) influence in people's lives many times and not even known. You support yourself and seem to make good money, and you get days off...in another type job, you probably wouldn't have the freedom you have now. In management in food service, I highly doubt if you would have as much freedom; but, you'd probably have many more headaches.

Until this stupid stupid accident breaking my ankle, I was also living "off the grid". Since having to go to the hospital, doctors and bla bla, now I have debt...which the ambulance and anesthesiologist are going to discover they can't squeeze blood out of a turnip. I've had to apply for different types of assistance and the hospital bill was taken care of...but I HATE these different agencies, etc being aware of me, my business, etc.

As I type that I know it probably sounds paranoid and silly, but I still feel like that.

In the past 25 years, I've found inner peace or satisfaction from helping people "unofficially", and I happen to think it "counts" as much as what "official helpers" do.

I know what you mean.

What is really, amazing, about being in a upper class of waiter, is i can have 5 different tables, all couples, and if i choose practice the same conversation with each of them and see the different results.

I feel like i have helped a lot of people because i am very good at giving small messages with more say than worded.

They have also helped me a lot.

On saturday, my last table, that i almost didn't take, but said oh well, 1 more...i could not tell if they were going to stay for another hour or leave in 10 seconds, so i walked up and said the truth 'my shift is over, myweekend is about to begin, thank you, and i will let girl take care of you' the man asked for the check then tipped me $25 on a $70, i saw then walked back and asked him if this was correct, he said yes, i thanked him again...

I will also add that table, was also the closest to the actual bar, and all the had were drinks....hehe

I have met lots of good people.

My spirit guide Deanna is no bona fide counselor - when I knew her in face-to-face life, she was a lower-level manager in charge of a special projects group. But NOBODY has ever had anywhere near the impact on my life that she has.

On the shelves above her computer at home, amidst the rich decor of book stacks and memorabilia, she has a portrait of Sigmund Freud. And she knows Freud's stuff...and a lot of what she has done with me is VERY close to psychoanalysis.

But again - she was just a government employee. A member of the union.

And an amazing person,doing what the spirits led her to do.

 

Oh My, Broony! That reflects what an excellent "helper" you are. I happen to think a good waiter/waitress does a lot more than take and deliver orders.

(Plus, it would be very hard to make that kind of money in management.)

 

Angels among us broony, I am telling you...

 

I know, oh i know...i can't tell if it is one for sure at times,,,but i know something in the situation has a message that i must walk away remembering.

I know angels are here, they always come when you are testing your inner self.

I just had a sudden impulse to watch Apocalypse Now yet again...I dunno why...

 

Ive thought about posting a story that got me really moving on this spiritual quest, that lead to my sobriety from liquor..but it would be long. Ive never told the long version on hipforums.

I don't know if it was an angel, but it was a messenger for sure. It changed the direction of my life completely.

Though before that 2nd very deep message in my life, way back when i just turned 16, i had my license for 6 or 7 days then rolled on a private dirt road.. In the split second of knowing the truck was going to roll, i knew and felt that i was going to be ok, i just knew. Walked away with only a small scratch on the knee...at that time i was thinking...hmmmm something might be going on here lol.

 

I want to watch inception...i not seen that since it came out...loved that kinda filmms

It is a HELL of a good film. I own it on DVD - one of my most valued possessions.

Never seen it. But now that you've put it on my radar, I'll try to remember to reserve it at from our local library system.
