Should a mother be charged...

i also agree that it is a mothers job to protect her child no matter what. and its easy enough to post in and say the mother should be charged , but i don't really think anyone can judge this unless they have been in the same situation themselves. if a mother can't even protect her own child she must be very, very messed up.

i also don't like the idea of the goverment being able to take children from their parents. in many ways its good but even so, there are certain things that are beyond any laws. this is a freeking human life not some sac of gold that can be tossed round cos someone decides so.
it makes me quite sad that, in all honesty, we don't really own our children anymore- the goverment does. but also i would never want a child to have an upbring of abuse, so where do you draw the line

 

I agree with you Spirit and actually I have been in somewhat of the same situation that's why I posted this so I do feel a proper right in talking about this. You are right that the government is taking over the children and it is wrong. Where to draw the line you ask? The little people need to start standing up and speaking for themselves. The government is not all powerful like they want to claim to be. Many of the people who believe that the mother should be charged I agree with if she did nothing. However, there should be an amount of help to offer parents or individuals that simply isn't there. And the covicted...shit! Those people have been really messed up in their lives to have done what they did, and where is the help for them? It's too much charge charge charge for money money and more money. So instead of a great many people getting angrier at their fellow citizens for doing something wrong that they are very capable of doing themselves and may in fact have done it...there should be a bit more giveback and help. We are all the same species. Hypocrisy I think is a plague.

Wow! i agree with so much of what you say here, but i had never thought of it in this way before. Very, very true.

 

I'm glad you agree Spirit and I'm also glad to see that I helped you see things in another way that you haven't thought about before. Not everyday that I can do that.
