What would the crusade look like? I might want to join the marching band.

No, are you? As to how. A life of terminal illness associated with extreme pain or discomfort is assaulting to the spirit, is dispiriting, chases away the breath. The death, the killer is slower than instantaneous but certain none the less. Do you choose then while decent faculty remains to extend some measure of joy?

How is that not a to be or not to be situation as opposed to a kill or be killed one?!

That whole matter relates to the will, not its conflict with others.

Whenever I have been ill it has not been an effort of my will that I was aware of. I have been in deadly contests with the virus.

How is a kill or be killed situation not a to be or not to be situation?

If it was you that was in deadly contest, then it was your will.

The latter doesn't necessarily involve killing.

I see. A kill or be killed situation is a contest of will.

But it does necessarily involve the will and if the will is in question then you don't know it.

    I will.

I will live resting in peace.

The question of will is just the wills realization. It is not the will to existence, but the will to more that drives us.

I will live wildly so long as I will! :-D

I will that all think outside the pine box!

Thanks for clearing that up. What I was trying to relate is how sobering being an Athiest can be. We don't follow god or jesus, we don't stumble around drunk in the love of god. We don't have that crutch to say dear god if you help me I'll be better I'll do better. We have no god to watch over our loved ones. We accept the ultra reality. We own our lives for better or worse. If we need help we help ourselves, if our loved ones need watching we watch over them. We expect no divine intervention in our lives. Just my opinion.
No dope I have no complaints about you or your beliefs. Those are yours and I would never want to change who you are or what you believe. Thats what makes you unique.
When I said don't force your beliefs etc on me. I was meaning the zealots who tell me I'm going to hell for my beliefs. Is it not true in the bible judge not less ye be judged thyself?
And to answer your question if I'm successful in my life of not judging others. I would say yes I am for the most part. I'm human and make mistakes. I do tend to give everyone the benefit of the doubt.
I'm sure we do share alot of thoughts. Please exuse any typos. Regards -abs-

I didn't expect to see the divine in men, but I do.

Indeed not only is it so in the bible. What you describe is a law of perception.
Our world is as we describe it and in many ways it is as we describe it, because it is so described. The world absent our descriptions offers none of it's own.
I am glad at your success.

That is correct. Our existence is given us and we create as we are created.
