...so a guy offers to help you move and he's the asshole?

 

Did you read the post thoroughly? He was an OLD DUDE, and I was concerned that he was going to injure himself by falling off the truck ramp, with the obvious consequences of medical treatment and probably legal proceedings, given the general nature of people these days. We also told him we didn't need any help, yet he insisted anyway, so under the circumstances, yes...he was kind of an asshole because he couldn't take a hint.

Isn't this what the original posting was about? People dropping by unannounced?

 

I like it when people drop in unexpectedly, although I live in a dorm so.
