He's not disinformation. You clearly are. They're are many types of rastas. Some are racist and some are not. True rastas will accept white people too.
If you are white, isnt your sig relating to hip hop/ rap. Which was created by blacks. Are you sucking this up and making it a discrace? being in association and race cards ??? What give take personality? Sure, blacks had it bad, they dont have it as bad now. There is nothing else we can do about history. If your talking about white people, standing around doing nothing, and they are a part of the white racist problem.... Is it really their responsibility to do something? No. If theres people who stand by, people who are blatant racists, what else are there? Im just gonna say black people here cuase its probably the main race that is descriminated against, but if were talking abuot white racists i guess every race would be included... But if there are (white) people being racist to black people, and they ARENT the blatant racist people, wouldnt they notice something? If they arent blatant racists then why are they racist? Wouldnt that mean it is directly related to what they see black people doing. (example: like gangs, robberies murder, ect.) Im not saying white people dont do the same thing. But why else could they be racist if theyre not ignorant.
lol...again - this comes from a "rasta" that lives and participates in Babylon. The disinformation comment was regarding racism - not Rasta, though I think a lot of your guys' views on it is skewed...at least as far as my knowledge of Rasta is. Sure it is a religion that welcomes all people, but why are you going to actually participate in Babylon and then call yourself a Rasta, that isn't giving the respect it deserves.
Im disappointed in myself that I got sucked into this trolling but I Thought I should mention something. Arent the Jews white? Im pretty sure thats correct
..... well what about black rastas who live in america??? You say its babylon... or what about black people who are like these "silly little white kids" exact same thing, but theyre black??? If it welcomes all people, wouldnt it welcome thoes who are white, yet you say it pratices white hatred. How is that? I have also heard that there are different types of rastas. What ISNT babylon???
wow...i was gone for about 2 hours to write a report on paraphilia's [yay psych major...*sarcasm] and I come back here and havnt a clue what yall are talkin about! lol. Braying donkey....Im sooo genuinely happy for you that your life is free of suffering and full of sunshine...in buddhism were all connected...so if one person suffers we all suffer...hence the desperate need to achieve a complete balance and rise above tangible desires...it is to be able to help those who are suffering without becoming attached to the suffering as well....i prob just confused everyone further. boo. The cycle mentality signifies the dao like presence in everything. Life is also about change. If your not changing and growing your dead....everything changes with the seasons and comes back to its original point. Can we drop this rasta business. If people decide to practice it what is it to any of you?? Whether you think its silly, cool, or lame is irrelevant. What matters is that those who practice it are taking positive steps in their life and seeking spirtual fulfillment. Also....somebody mentioned that all rastas hate white people....thats completely ignorant. Sure I have met rastas who were confused on white dready people but I have actually met more rastas who have embraced the love and who are happy to see Jah's love cross boundaries. The last reggae show I went to I was approached by a rasta who greeted me as Emperess and Im not even rasta or black....so to say they all hate whites is talkin out your ass.
Yes, I was going to mention that too... Then I didnt really care since he was talking about race and religion at the same time... I think hes focused more on white americans... But either way, saying black people have suffered more is just wrong. Every Race and religion for that matter has suffered... Its obvious. Individual here. Past is past.
In part, yes, but mostly no. I have educated myself on hiphop and I know what it's about. I'm in no way claiming the same level of experience as say Talib Kweli or (in regards to my signature) J Dilla. But I appreciate their music and understand where they come from as much as I possibly can as a white male. It isn't a disgrace in that I have educated and participate within my means. If I were to all of a sudden start writing lyrics about ghettos and living with violence in my neighborhood, that is the point of disgrace and is demeaning the hiphop movement. Minorities are still being treated extremely poorly, if you are not willing to accept that, I suggest watching the movie "Blue Eyes" or reading the autobiography of Malcom X. It is everyone's responsibility to speak against racism. How can you live in a country that was founded on the beliefs that "All men are created equal" and then exclude certain ones? If you aren't verbal about your disagreement, you are as good as the problem itself... Racism is ignorance, no doubt. But ignorance is not racism. There are people that aren't racist but are ignorant to its problems. Education and opening peoples' eyes is where the solution is - not a handsoff "let it be" approach, as we can see what has happened because of that. Immediately after the emancipation? Jim Crowe laws, black codes, etc etc all effectively reduced black citizenship to be WORSE than slavery.
I'm not focused on anything but the ignorance in that statement. It isn't true. White Christians have endured FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR less "suffering" than any other race/religion. It is a simple and solid fact. Read a history book.
