Things are whole of themselves I would say. Whether I am asleep or am awake, sensational being remains sensational. there seems no degree of difficultrees.

can i jump 8 feet in the air and kick a light bulb out? no, but my body has the potential to. can i focus my mind on a single concept for over an hour? no, but it is possible. control my metabolic rate? eat only what i need? use my time efficiently? run a mile in under 6 minutes? ride my emotional waves without giving in to them? obtain alliances? influence others? influence events? love selflessly? heal? learn? grow? all this relates to power, and in what ways you choose to obtain and use it is up to you, and seems to be what gives our lives any meaning.
oh, and to tikoo: yes, this is a very personal philosophy. no one can tell you what is most important, but power is universally important in this process we call life. look at it as a floating object to grab onto amidst an ocean of chaos, an object that changes its shape depending on how you poke and prod it.
Power, powerful of what if I were to be powerful wouldn’t somebody ells has to loose power of there own? Hmm maybe not seens having power over someone who has no power leads me to powerlessness. It would seem that free will is what we are talking about here yet there is no way to control it only to limit its perceived choices so power is an illusion of powerlessness that is imposed on to others. And in this sense knowledge is power which has nothing to do with strength sorta speak, which is the same for matter a burst of energy that is not predisposed in any way is meaningless eg mechanically transferred energy from A to B is channeled by a way of limiting the directions of dispersion = power.
a philosophy describes the elemental language you think with and will survive by . to center a philosophy around power is ok . it's not even uncommon for people to think obsessively of power and that it may direct all one's relationships . by power - you will know . by power - you will love . by power - you will exist . by power - you shall be universal ? universal is also an important word . it'd also be ok to make that one a center of a philosophy , but ... power is the exploration here and i think it's important . thus far , you the universal and power is the ultimate Reality ? i think of that as lonesome as in lonesome in the city . like that anarchist clown Groucho Marx say .. hey! i needs the ha cha cha you want some power . hey , sure , i give you some power
It occurs to me now that power in an energetic world equals integrity. That we pick it up and lay it down at will, or when our thinking and doing are synonymous.
as with all other philosophies and religions, semantics may be where we get caught up the most in disagreement. can we agree that power = ability (or freedom) to do? thedope- i think we're pretty close to the same page on this. a clean, clear connection between our center of awareness and the ripples we cast out is manifested (in many ways) as power.
tikoo- i can make no claims as to the nature of an ultimate reality. rather, i perceive that, in this reality/dimension, power is of universal importance to all living beings. perhaps power is a step that leads to something of higher importance. perhaps it can be a trap. at this point in my development, it seems very necessary. does this make sense to you?
Well I recognize you. I would add that there are no idle thoughts and the consistency of results reflects the consistency of focus. So I would posit that purification rather than being a refinement of essentially unworthy qualities, to be frequency modulation of an inherent invaluable present.
yes , yyyesiam , you make sense . and troubles with power philosophy is relevant to our world in crisis . we need ultimate intelligence ... as in , well , listen to the chickadees
