slipknot rule

im guessing you know metal? than you can help me out hear, i dont know too much but i know enough to say its not slipknot.

 

Slipknot are a hopeless band, they are absolute trash.

 

well, right here is your first problem. You don't know shit about metal, so that gives you NO right to say anything about a band NOT being metal. Second, because of your ignorance, you turn to one of the worst reference sites on the internet. I would only wipe my ass with the definitions from urbandictionary.com. Those are all user submitted and mean about as much as nothing.

 

and just for the record, I don't care for slipknot, and dont really consider them metal, nu-metal, or anything. They are just sorta gay.

 

Slipknot IS as much nu-metal as Poison washair metal, it's just a fact.

And don't worry,you'll grow out of them.

 

I feel the need to enlighten you people.

Metal is a very vast genre, call it a title if you will. NU-Metal, Death Metal, ect, are genres within a larger genre, call them subtitles if you will. The term "Metal" is simply a general term used to englobe all other styles/genres similarly influenced. Metal includes every band you've all just mentioned. I don't care if Slipknot is commercial, politcally (un)acceptable, talented or not, i don't care what Rolling Stone or MTV tells you. Slipknot is a type of metal, weither you like it or not is your opinion. (but) Expressing your opinion about their music and talent and generalising your opinion about a certain band and turning it into a fact are two different things.

At the core,

Music is music, weither it's rap, metal, pop, punk, classical, folk, rock, ect doesn't matter! as long as you're enjoying whatever it is you're listening to, thats all that matters, for something to be good it just has to evoque something in you, and if it doesn't, well too bad: not your style, move onto something else. We all grow through music, even when we're listening to something we don't necessairly enjoy, we grow, we learn to appreciate the variety of music that is offered to us. Quit arguing about whats good and what isn't, who are weto judge anyway? Just put on what you love, sit back, relax & enjoy. Expressing hate only brings more hate. The same way that expressing love only brings more love.

I think i know a thing or two about metal, i know that slipknot is not metal, but that rhapsody, dragonforce, sonata artica, slayer, pantera(newer), trivium is metal, and that shouldnt effect whether or not i am allowed to have an opinion on a band, well, actually i guess your right, people shouldnt have opinions.

and ofcourse urbandictionary is a shit resource, though the definition posted from that site is very accurate to what nu-metal is and if i had written my own defintion it wouldve been the same.

well i dont listen to metal on my own, i have a few friends that tend to go to all the metal shows and listen only to metal, so if im in the car with them i have to listen to it, the reason i dislike most of it, is because i find it cheesy and repetitive.

calling people older than you "kiddo" leads me to believe you might be having some gender identity issues, but, we've all got problems.

 

i dont see how it would lead you to believe i have gender identity issues, i see no relation at all.

i also notice your lack of counterpoints is leaving you with the type of comeback a 13 year old with a vocabulary consisting of the words 'dude' and 'fag' would use.

 

I'm far from being out of comebacks, especially considering I never used the word fag once.....

the connection between you wishing you were a woman has nothing to do with any of this, but it is leading to you being a pissed off 17 y/o with serious problems.

 

In these arguements you havent used the word dude either but i was comparing you to that person im sure you know, who has such a limited vocabulary.

There is no connection between our argument(or your attack) and your dubbing of me as a 17 'y/o' with serious problems and gender issues, so not only are your posts losing all sense of matureness, but i think the next post wont even make sense, for you are deviating far too much from telling me i have no opinion.

Slpknot is a quite good band...I love some of their songs,but you get bored with them easily..Korn is better..

Slipknot definitely suck. They are completely horrible, and to think, it takes 9 people to sound that bad...

However, Lamb of God and Meshuggah both suck equally as bad.

LoG's vocalist can go fuck himself. Meshuggah are just shit.
