There is some deviation between joints, depending on quality and manufacturer. A lot of pieces also have an ever so slightly different slope or may have deformed slightly while being welded onto the rest of the component, which will cause wobble or jamming

I'm honestly not sure which part of the joint is measured, actually. but if it fits you got the right one, generally they won't fit the wrong type at all.

There's small joints, that are less standard, I think 9mm exists to some dependable degree, it might be 9.1, to be exact? then there's 14.4 and 18.8 for standard tubes. Generally little tubes have 14, big tubes 18, and some setups use both to stuff everything futher into the bong, like yours, with a low profile diffuser.

There's also 24, 29, and all manner of slight variations.

The hole on a 14mm slide will be about the size of your pinky nail, the hole on a 18mm slide will be about the size of your first fingernail (unless you have huge hands or something.

If it fits you almost certainaily got the right one, and any problem with fit is due to quality control or the brand of joints used on one or both of the components in question.

Yeah I probably wouldn't have bought it as my first nice bong unless I got it for the steal of a price I did. It's actually so much of a steal that I would rather not post it haha. Only thing is it didn't come with the stock 9mm illa slide, they apparently didn't have any in at the time so I ended up getting one of the stock slides that goes along with the 5mm ones, not too big of a deal when I get a beast of a 19" 9mm tube for under 200.

One nice thing about illadelphs is that their label is pretty solid, though mine is out of commission atm, after 2 years of hard scrubbing and washing there are zero chips missing from the label.

I definitely agree on hating the coils though. Plus why drop 600+ for such a shitty tube when you could easily get a 7-13arm Toro or 4.0 glass double circ for that price.

9mm is making a come back in oil rigs, as well as the relatively rare 12mm size as they provide just the right sort of suction you're looking for when taking a fat dab off your ti curve.

I like big bongs! The taller, the better, imo.

I dated a kid a couple years back who had a bong that was like 6 or 7 feet tall hahaha
