Now, I can understand this a lil' bit...although I did quit, I can recall the sweet, smoky taste of a girls kiss...
A slender, graceful, willowy female creature smoking is one of the most beautiful sights in the world. Next?
It doesn't bother me that my girlfriend smokes cigarettes. I wish she didn't, but I can look past it. I absolutely LOVE watching her smoke a blunt, though.
I smoke... I know it's gross. And, I don't mind if other girls smoke around me. I don't find it sexy but it don't bother me. i would even date a girl that smoked.
It's no more gross than pickled beets, ketchup, or liver. I think those things are gross, but not everyone does. Sorry. I'm just sick as shit of hearing smokers apologize for their tastes.
It's the person inside that counts, lol. I'm a smoker, my partner is too. I think it can be sexy, sometimes.
i think smoking is a horrendous habit. just poisoning your body i don't see what you get out of it. i just recently got my girlfriend to stop smoking.
Funny, isn't it though, PurpleHazeFairy? I noticed a similar syndrome down in News and Issues > Men's Issues > Why that slightly heavy girl is hot (while others are not): there are certain groups that rude lunkheads feel it's PC to vent their teeny aggressions on. Smokers are one. Skinny women are another. For now, it's not quite as PC for rude lunkheads to go after overweight women. You still tend to get your ass jumped for that... but the health nazis are working on it. Give 'em a few years. There are "good people, working hard," professionally spreading hatred of Fat Americans in congressional offices and through the mainstream media every day. Sucks, no matter whom it's directed against.
Oh, there is absolutely nothing in the world more beautiful than a woman enjoying a long, smoky cigarette, sipping gently and surrounding herself with sweet smoke like some goddess out of mythology. My first love was a Polynesian beauty in my high school who shared my lonely bus stop -- and my heart skipped each dark, wintry morning as I saw the glow from her cigarette as she made her divine way towards the spot. I never felt the aroma from her cigarette -- mainstream or her exhalations -- to be anything other than absolutely wonderful. I've dated a lot of smokers and I find them to generally be the more adventurous, warm-hearted and creative types. I'll kiss sweet, smoky lips anyday over ones twisted in a self-righteous, holier-than-thou sneer.
hamster, marry me! LOL, you make my heart melt the way you describe things so...poeticly. This is an honest work of art, if you meant for it to be or not, Peace dude, and welcome to the boards... I see this is your first post.
Thanks for the warm welcome. Yup, I'm new here, just poking around a little, seeing what there is to see. I had to chime in because too many people champion the myth that smokers are doomed to a life of loneliness, when in fact some of the most successful, well-loved people in the world, the ones who make all the beautiful people lists, enjoy smoking. I don't smoke but I really get annoyed with people who act like smokers are the spawn of Satan. A little smoke drifting your way is going to kill you like the aroma of a bakery is gonna make you gain weight.
That was beautifully written, Hamster. But I think it's funny how the poll was written. I notice the poll writer gave us two choices for "gross," just in case we missed the first one, I guess. No big surprise. Smoking polls are usually written a lot more dishonestly even than that. But even with two "gross" choices to choose from, the "gross" votes only come to 44.39%. Over half, 55.61%, either don't care or actually like it. With all that tax money from the sale of cigarettes going into anti-tobacco propaganda, I'm surprised those numbers aren't slanted the other way. Maybe the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, Action on Smoking and Health, and the American Cancer Society haven't yet discovered this place, and put their volunteers to work on skewing the poll. (Yes, they do that.) Of course, maybe they have, and those were still the best (from their point of view) numbers they could get. People are starting to catch on that the "second-hand smoke" propaganda is every bit as phony as the Reefer Madness propaganda of the 1930's.
i'm a girl and i smoke occasionaly. i hate it when people make sexist remarks about just girls smoking. i don't give a shit if anybody smokes. some days it gets on my nerves and other days it's all good. eh. i don't really care.
Also VERY sick of smokers being beaten up all the time.. Hamster that was a lovely, evocative post and I agree with you!!!
