Not a college me or any of my friends have heard of, have ever requested any type of information on arrest records, and I may be mistaken, but I am very posative, that pretty much no one can see anything like that about you without concent. Last I checked arrest records, drug related or not, were not a part of FAFSA eithor.
It asks if you've ever had a drug conviction right on the FAFSA. From FAFSA instruction sheet: " Do you, the student, have a drug conviction that will affect eligibility for aid? If you have a conviction for possessing or selling illegal drugs go to FAFSA on the Web (www.fafsa.ed.gov/q31wksht56.pdf). You can print a PDF version of the Drug Worksheet that walks you through a series of questions to help you determine if a drug conviction will affect your eligibility for federal aid in 2005-2006. No Yes " From the #31 worksheet: "We sent you this worksheet with your Student Aid Report (SAR) because you left question 31 blank on your 2005-2006 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), or because you told us you have a drug-related conviction. Use this worksheet to determine your answer to question 31. Then, if necessary, correct your answer by using your SAR, by calling 1-800-4-FED-AID (1-800-433-3243), or by going to our Web site at www.fafsa.ed.gov and submitting a correction. Do not submit this worksheet to us. Keep it for your records. Notify your school of your eligibility. Do not leave question 31 blank. Your answer to question 31 may affect your eligibility for federal student financial aid. “1” means your eligibility for federal student aid is not affected by question 31. “2” means your drug conviction(s) affect eligibility for federal student aid for part of the school year. You should tell the financial aid office at your school your “eligibility date” from question 9 on this worksheet. You can become eligible earlier in the school year if you complete an acceptable drug rehab program. Even if you are not eligible for federal student aid, you may still be eligible for state and school aid. “3” means you are not eligible for federal student aid for this school year unless you complete an acceptable drug rehab program. Even if you are not eligible for federal student aid, you may still be eligible for state and school aid. If you are convicted of possessing or selling drugs after you submit your FAFSA, you must notify the financial aid office at your school immediately. You will lose your eligibility and must pay back all aid you received after your conviction. 2005-2006 Student Aid Report (SAR) If you need help with this worksheet, or have questions, call us at 1-800-4-FED-AID (1-800-433-3243). 31 Worksheet for Question On this worksheet count only federal or state convictions. Like I said, I don't make the rules, it's just how they are. I don't apologize for them, but I do believe in being aware. If you're going to be doing reading start reading the student handbooks....colleges have rules about drugs, etc. on campus, generally it's zero tolerance. Some have rules about drinking, many have designated tobacco smoking areas, etc. Oh yeah, and to the adoutsider...ya might want to re-read the FAFSA.
Tell me what you guys think, but to me it's pretty safe to smoke in my bathroom here at the dorms. The way our dorms work is that two rooms will share one bathroom which is connected in the middle. Theres a little window in the bathroom to blow the smoke right and and we always have plenty of air freshener. Our RA is like 10 doors down from us as well. Think it sounds pretty safe?
are you kidding? of course you can smoke in your dorm room! unless you're going to some conservative state university, i guess. when i used to be in the dorms i'd walk around in the hallway with a bong and smoke. i lived across the hall from the RA and she didn't care. the place always smelled like weed anyway--so many people smoke pot. we smoked bowls and blunts and then took gravity bong rips made from a trashcan in the hallway and passed out on the floor. the entire dorm--all four floors--reeked of marijuana. someone didn't like it evidently and we got caught. but hell, i've been caught more than once and nothing has ever happened. i live in an apartment above a bar downtown now so i don't even have to think about it anymore. but hell, i blazed on campus just last night--weed and opium right in front of people walking by. nobody really cares.
I go to Evergreen College in Oly. High Times No. 1 Counter Culture school. So you can guess that its pretty open here.
I'd rather smoke my weed. Then, I don't have some big clunky thing with a cord to put away. A pipe is much easier to conceal, a joint is pretty un-noticeable (we roll fatties that look like cigarrettes). I'd recommend smoking somewhere outside, because you can always come back inside afterwards.
