I'm not really sure why people think that when they say something rude or give neg rep that it is all a joke, but when someone gives it back to them they assume that it is because that person is really upset and offended.

i dunno, i wasn't really impressed with my np neg rep. it was kinda half assed, really. i was really hoping for something with a bit more zing behind it.
