my goals are basically learning all i can bout living simply and being self supporting while at the same time teaching others while walking hand in hand beside them..I have no monetary or societal goals in life nor have i ... perhaps tis why after all the years of education i have had in varying fields i have shunned each n every opportunity i had to go big and make it in the world and choose to live the life i do... the only goals i have ever given up on are those that others have set for me,,,, and then my giving up on there goals n going for my own ,,, n yet being able to look back on it n not believe that whole 20 odd years was not a waste but has helped me evolve into what i am today

I have no long term goals in life. Im living week to week in a lot of aspects in my life.

Ive got a couple of plans though:

Get a flat in the city, which will help me
Graduate from college then uni (Im at college purely out of my own interest, not as a career move).

I want to visit every country in the world. I want to learn to Speak Chinese, French, Thai, Italian, and Russian.

I want to learn Tango in Argentina

I want to live in every Country in Central and South America, even if it is just for a few months in an Apartment.

I want to get another degree in something I have not decided. But I want to go to the university in Colombia, SA.

I want to volunteer 5 months out of the year to my favorite organizations. I am at about 2 months now.

I want to live in Spain for about 6 months.

I want to produce and direct a film that I have wrote.

I want to write a few books about what I have learned about life.

    I want to write a children's book.

I want to find my soul mate wherever she is in the world.

I want to leave the world better than I found it.

That's what I have for the next few years.

Who knows where else life will take me.:)

It seems like you have quite a few 'romantic' type of goals. But from here, they all look quite attainable. I don't even know how many countries there are, 207 or something but with enough time, money and effort...

I find the language thing difficult. It seems that every word that I learn in Thai pushes another Italian one out of my mind. But I do love the challenge of learning to communicate in another language.

The movie will take some funding but it seems you may have that under control. Have you any ideas about what?

As for the soulmate, who can be sure? I mean what happens if we only have one, and you already met her? But I do wish you every success.

As for leaving the world a better place, that is very subjective. But I like what I've read of yours. You seem to know what you want and are able to get it without stomping on others along the way. So maybe you can do that do.

Sounds like some fine goals to me. You sound pretty grounded. Thanks for sharing.

    I love languages.

As for the movie. I have the money. It is time that I need. The script is about half done. It is about an outlaw.

If I have already met my soulmate I suppose I am SOL. Then I will take a nice trophy wife.:)

I do hope I can make a difference in the world.

i know exactly what i want in life, it just doesn't happen to involve a world where survival and advancement depend on being able to coerce each other.

as long as i am surrounded by a culture that accepts making everything have to begin and end with little green pieces of paper, i can only either blind myself to it, or acknowledge how this stacks the odds against it.

Thank you so much, it's always a heart-felt experience to hear from others who understand what I'm going through first-hand.

    Best wishes.
