lol. that's funny. I suppose when babies are born we have inborn in ourselves an imaginary concept of god. Of course that's true, because the 5000 some odd religions around the world all agree on that specific concept. /sarcasm

convincing yourself that there is a god is a system of thought. No one has to convince themselves there is no god, it's quite the opposite. People read the bible, go to church, give to religious charities and organizations TO convince themsleves of this concept of god.

Atheists are fine, and more than happy, to not believe in any imaginary alien/flying spaghetti monster in the "heavens".

lol. Your response was pretty funny though, thanks!!

religion comes from the concept of god, not the other way around. sure, many people are raised to believe in god, but where did this belief come from? why did all of these ancient views of reality and life spring up? and, to answer the comment about system- any beliefs you have about your life and existance are a system. there is no way around that.

also, though many people see god as some figure, some creature with control freak tendencies and a personality, others see it as what unifies all of existance. not something seperate, having an individual's awareness, but existance itself. this is what it means to be omnipotent.
