So...9 months on and we're still seeing each other when I'm in town. He's never made the trip to me and I don't think he even likes me, but the sex is amazing.

Thought I'd give you an update.

lol, ok. So it would help if you could be a little more clear about what you want.

You're happy with the sex. You're not happy with the fact that it's just sex.

At this point, do you even want to try to have a real relationship with him, or do you think that it's clear that all he wants is sex?

Confronting him about the fact that you want something more might be worthwhile. It might undermine your current arrangement with him, but if you don't value it that much, it doesn't matter.

You may be able to get him to at least come see you every so often.

You said he was affectionate. Usually that means that a guy has some interest in you just beyond sex.

 

Ahh. I'm ok with the way it is, we live too far apart to ask for anything more. He has his life and I have mine.

Sex is amazing though so I don't think either of us will be giving up on that anytime soon.

He is very affectionate during and right after the sex, but he doesn't have much interest in me outside of that. If I sleep over for the night he always wants to cuddle on the couch between sessions, I think he likes the intimacy without any of the commitment and, to be honest, so do I.
