HuckFinn, Let me guess that you see the fetus as a person and that as such it should receive the 14th ammendment right to "equal protection under the law." If that is the case, you, John Kerry and I have different views on the matter.
If you make the scientifically baseless assertion that unborn babies are something other than human, then further debate would likely be fruitless. However, John Kerry has explicitly stated that he indeed accepts the scientifically obvious humanity of the unborn, yet he believes that they deserve no legal protection. This is a morally and logically indefensible position.
Well you know how Americans eat up big brother and american idol. So we have a show called american presidents. You get yourself a bunch of judges from right to left. You set up a test for applicants which includes iq, foriegn policy, Domestic ideas, health care etc. Out of the applicants that qualify or pass the test. You hold a weekly show where they face off in debates. Tell the public how they would make a good presidents. History checks etc. And you get the public to phone in or vote on the internet on what candidate they would like to stay, or who they would vote off the show. Just work your way down to the winner and runner up. There you go you have a president and vice president. Or just go down to the final 10. Then give them all equal money for there campain. Then hold a national election on these 10 people. I know its really retarded. But unfortunately it will fit our sub-culture at the moment. And maybe make politics interesting to more americans.
