So my friend from high school was on Cops...

I've never understood why people sign the release to let their arrest be broadcast.

I can picture the sales pitch: "Can we show your most humiliating moment to the whole country!"

Or the guys on "To Catch a Predator".

 

If I was ever on COPS I'd instigate them into beating me, then I'd cash in. COPS has been sued numerous times for the behaviour of the officers on the show. It's like a lottery ticket, FOX would be so quick to cover their ass they'd just write a cheque.

 

The problem is if you run into a trigger-happy hothead you could end up getting shot and killed

I know some people who could end up on cops..

but our town doesnt have a very high population of black people, so cops would never come here..

 

i've seen more white trash methhead types than anything else on cops.

black criminals can actually be dangerous. actual cops don't fuck with them, let alone cops the show.

I had a friend who watched it a ton about 5 years ago, and I watched a few episodes with him. I just remember me and him laughing at how there was about 3 black guys to every white guy. Maybe it´s changed, or maybe the 4 I saw were just weird.

I guess Ill call them and tell them to visit..

 

It's pretty damn biased. That being said, it's also a great show.

If it’s any comfort there’s a version of COPS in Russia and every suspect is white (although they’re considered guilty; before being proven innocent)
