Yeah. That's what I told them. You're going to punish me for caring about a species other than humans? And you're going to take my life away for being health-conscious? I love you too.
So what reason did they give you? How did they justify grounding you as a suitable response to your vegetariansim?
Uh. Just that I was vegetarian. And that it made them look like bad parents because they 'had no control over me'.
That's the thing. I still love them. And everyone here. I can't leave my friends, even though they're probably all leaving me when college time rolls around :/
Seth you're being a fucking douchebag. You have the rest of your life to be who you want to be. Working with your parents until you've moved out isn't going to hurt anything.
This is an incredibly sad thread! Your parents love you guys. Its no big secret that when you decide on locking your hair that you are going to get judgments...why think that your family would be excluded? Im 35 and I avoid contact with my family cause I dont want to hear the shit.
why do you go with the nasty look...its ok to be a guitar god and not have NASTY hair..your mom is layed up maybe you could do as she wants once in a while..why is about you all the friggin time..wouldnt want to do something that might make your mom smile..she gave birth to you ...your an ungrateful spoiledkid..name 5 female guitar players with nasty hair..you cant..twerp!
^ really...really? Anyhoo... I was told by my sister that once you hit your 30s you stop trying to please anyone else. especially your parents. I was lucky to have a a mother that embraced my sense of style (been through every phase). I'm turning 29 this year but have already overcome the need to please. but I had a very difficult situation present itself. I lost twins and now I have a son that was born with a MAJOR heart defect and he just had a heart transplant. There is sooo much more to life than pleasing your parents, and although you cannot see that now, you will, and your parents will never hate you because of your choice of fashion. They may not like it, but they will always love you... and I agree with some of the posts. Always be nice to your parents (I know harder said that done) but kill them with kindness as the saying goes.
That had to be one of the dumbest post I have read on here yet!!!!!!!!!! But okay I will accept the challenge...twerp! Linda Perry- 4 Non Blondes..rocked locks Jane C- of Farchild- also a lock rocker Tracy Chapman- locked Ani DiFranco- beautifully locked and a very impressive artist Lauryn Hill- yep she plays guitar Ignorance must be truly blissful!!!!
you said 'nasty' not locked..my daughter has dreads ....sorry i called you a twerp..really i apologize for the twerp comment..only continued communication between all of you will help here
it's weird when i don't wash my hair because no one notices, even though it's really nasty because i'm half made out of olive oil. i wear a hat or pin my bangs back and no one says anything, and if they noticed they would
