I went out and had a bottle of Austrian wine, potato cheddar soup, steamed mussels with lardons and tomatos in some broth, and a fancy crab cake
makin a cheapy pizza now... i wimped out on gettin flour etc... well, I didn't see it in one pass around the store (aldi), assumed they didnt have it, and grabbed a few 69 cent meals as I call em Bit of green pepper and some creole seasoning on top and they are pretty tasty, forget the brand.
ugh...i'm so full! i had a pretty good meal. basmati rice, broccoli and carrots, and skewered chicken and onion cooked on a wood fire after marinating in a premade lemon basil grilling sauce. the outside of the chicken and onions were very slightly charred, but the inside was so tender and juicy and soft....the woodsmoke (real logs and soaked hickory chips...no charcoal or anything) and the marinade made it that much better..... all in all the skewers came out just about as close to perfect as i could hope for, the veggies were alright, and the rice was good.... all washed down with a bottle of samuel smith's old brewery pale ale.... a bottle of taddy porter as an appetizer
god...all this meat we've been eating, trying to get through the elk before it's not so yummy...it's doing a number on my stomach. blech. NO MORE!! we've had meat for dinner every night for nearly a week now. i feel awful. i'm ordering in indian food again.
i mean....how can you make baked tacos? i've just not heard of it. it is like nachos or something? i'm confused
