I think it was a good film in the sense that it raises questions that should be addressed in any free society. If you look beyond technical errors and film making errors, there's no reason not to at least appreciate the effort and overall message behind it.

Besides, I don't really recall them explicitly presenting theories as fact. To me it was a scientific approach to ideologically charged subject matter... from both sides of the coin.

Normal people ripped his film apart, with nothing more than several Saturdays spent online. All the rebuttals to the points in his film are out there for anybody to find. And were there before he made his film and subsequent versions. Yes, there is a 'official rebuttal' but there are also hundreds of 'unofficial' rebuttals, saying precisely the same things. You just needed to coral the information, which takes time and effort. I'm a big believer in free speech, so Dylan Avery et al, can say whatever they like. I'd like to have had the publicity he has had for what I think. But, unlike him, I've not gone out of my way to do anything. So, I admire him for doing something.
I admire Al Gore for exactly the same reasons.

'the kids did a amazing job' - I agree.
But, content wise - it is a load of rubbish, filled with errors.
Possibly on a par with Al-Gores film.

I don't think you said that both films were filled with errors.
I think you may have been at pains to say both films were factual lacking.
Yes, maybe saying something rather than implying something is a good idea.
No room for misrepresentation.

i have stated before and now will again that if we make it into winter without a devastating downturn in the economy i will be relieved and if we make it to spring and things seem to be turning a corner i will admit my fears were unfounded and i will not dwell on it therefore post on the subject anymore..
