So, when is the U.S. gonna start the air strikes in Syria?

    I know I don't, I prefer diplomatic pressure.

I'm more concerned about N.Korea than Syria as a national security concern for the USA.

    ---

Besides this feels like more of an issue for the Arab League than something the USA should get involved with.

The greatest threat to the security of the U.S.A. resides in Washington D.C.

I agree the Arab League would be a much better solution than either the UN or the U.S.A.

It was the same way with the Roman Empire too.

Mankind has this tendency to swing to extremes, and this is reflected in their political policies and not just in the USA but in all countries throughout time.

For instance, in WWI and in WWII, America really tried to stay out of it, and only towards the last leg did they get into full swing. During both those eras, the belief was that there was little need for the USA to have such a large standing army.

Ever since then, we've swung to the other extreme of ALWAYS having this giant police over vigilant police-presence globally.

There's nothing wrong with policing sometimes, but the USA can't continue going to the other extreme of getting involved in all these issues if it's not affecting us directly in an imminent way.

Syria has signed the Chemical Weapons Convention, and ratified the agreement which bans the production, stockpiling and use of chemical weapons. Syrian leaders can now be subject to International criminal tribunal and appropriate proceedings.

But Israel's chemical weapons should then also be addressed, hmmm?

    http://rt.com/news/israel-chemical-weapons-sarin-714/
Israel is believed to have secretly built up its own stockpile of chemical and biological weapons decades ago, reports Foreign Policy, citing a recently unearthed CIA document.

    http://www.latimes.com/world/worldnow/la-fg-wn-israel-chemical-weapons-20130912,0,7379241.story
Israel has cheered the Syrians' promise to hand over their chemical weapons and sign but it is increasingly worried that the international pressure building may soon focus on Israel, which has refused to ratify the treaty and is believed to possess chemical weapons. Israel signed the Chemical Weapons Convention in 1993, but it never ratified the agreement.

Entirely agree. However, Israels preparedness to defend itself is institutionalised, even Kerry would be politely heard out & ignored were he to try to reason with them. But the winds of change are blowing around its Borders!

    I did.

American surveillance satellites uncovered in 1982

According to FP, US intelligence agencies are almost certain that Israel possesses a stockpile of nuclear weapons that the Middle Eastern country developed in the 1960s and 1970s as part of its defense against a possible attack from Arab neighbors.
However, to date not much evidence has been published about Israel possessing chemical or nuclear weapons.
It is unknown whether Israel still keeps its alleged stockpile of chemical weapons. In 1992, the Israeli government signed the Chemical Weapons Convention, which outlaws such arms. Crucially, however, Israel has not ratified the agreement.

So, what chemical weapons are you talking about?

"The IIBR was allegedly involved in several “accidents.” In one of them, according to the British Foreign Report in 1998, authorities were close to ordering evacuation of homes in the area before scientists discovered there was no threat to the population."

Well it's a good bet have them. I think it's time for a look-see hmm?

Has someone suggested the security of the U.S. is under threat by Israel requiring air strikes on Israel now?

Then why won't they ratify their chemical weapons agreement?

Any number of reasons. Anyway, someone on the internet insinuating that they have chemical weapons isn't anywhere near proof. Hell, you haven't even provided real evidence.
