If you write "Ron Paul" on your ballot paper, at the very most it will be counted among all the other spoilt/ambiguous ballot papers. More likely, it will be counted among all those who stayed at home and didn't vote. So when you make your statement, you'll be making it to everyone you tell on the Internet, and that's about it. So really, rather than spoiling your ballot paper for the sake of your pride, you might as well do what everyone else does (i.e. vote for the lesser of two evils) and then tell everyone you didn't.
