And no where else in the world cares about college games. You'll never see a crowd but in America, people pay good money to watch it. In many cases bugger than the real deal. Never seen the appeal of college sports they're rubbish in comparison. No skills.
Maybe there should be that many in the qualification rounds but why after? If a team doesn't qualify they're simply not in this WC. If they happen to quality they can and should be in this tournament (they will just get an assbeating ).
Is every player on Swiss team Shqiptar? Edit: please note that term "Shqiptar" is not meant in a negative context. It's a term they use themselves, and I was told (firsthand) they don't mind to be called that by others too. Thought I'd make that clear, since people tend to nitpick posts.
Boooo-yah! How about that for a walk off victory? One kick just destroyed Sweden. That was a must win game for Germany. Now we just worry about Sth Korea who have not won a game yet. As long as we put on a few goals in that, I don't see Sweden & Mexico game being a blow out for Sweden, so we could brush through on Goals For.
FIFA opens case against Shaqiri & Xhaka over controversial eagle celebrations World football governing body FIFA has opened disciplinary proceedings against Swiss players Xherdan Shaqiri and Granit Xhaka, after the pair celebrated their goals in the win against Serbia by making an Albanian eagle salute. The players are both ethnic Albanian and celebrated their strikes in the match against Serbia by making the controversial sign in apparent reference to the eagle symbol on the Albanian flag. Xhaka and Shaqiri could face potential sanction under FIFA rules which outlaw actions that “provoke the general public.” Kosovo ceded from Serbia in 2008 and was made a FIFA member in 2016. However, its independence remains a contentious political issue, as it has not been recognized by an array of countries, including Serbia and Russia. Kosovo is mostly populated by Albanians. Always something with these guys...Meanwhile, I am sure Dua Lipa could fill up the Belgrade Arena...three days in a row
Not world cup related, but still soccer Who can not like Ibra, the only guy that can be arrogant, smug yet likeable at the same time (sorry Messi, you can't get away with it like Ibra can). His little French speech lol Ibrakadabra
Fucking Serbs were provoking them by shouting "Kill All Albanians" and whatnot. I don't blame them. I love Shaqiri, he's like a little fucking tank that plows through the pitch. It's like watching a midget waltz.
