Not if he can't make a nuanced comment. And being from occupied territories may be the reason he feels like saying stupid stuff but it is not an excuse. So it shouldn't be used as one.

In rugby union the losing side forms a tunnel of players on the side line and claps the winning team off the field. and then the winning team extends the tunnel and claps the losing side off. I think that's.. Gentleman like. Chivalry.

Neither does the majority of the world.. which is why I generally prefer these trivial actions to get ignored.
I also think its normal that after an important goal you celebrate the goal, even in a slightly provocative way. People who make a big deal out of that are mostly frustrated whiners and sore losers.
