I wasn't saying respect it because it's rare, it aint, I said it because it's a magical plant that you don't respect. No fucking duh it isn't for recreational. You deserved that bad trip, and another for continuing the disrespect. Man, it's a shamanetic tool, and now you're calling it bad, when your experiance is your fault; ya just don't get it(get datura). And even if it's bad, showing pointkess disrespect is just bad karma.
To swoosh-try the stuff, just be careful, dazed-what'shisname- doesn't respect the plant in the least it seems, just be careful, do research, and don't expect a recreational trip. Seems that is what you are going for, that aint what datura is for though. There are reasons back in the day ther it was reserved for experianced shaman dude. It can make you go blind, not sure about crazy, but defenately blind. Blindness can be permanent or for sone days, depends on the dose.
And I agree with ganjaguru, skarecrow is probably the biproduct of incest...anyone who would do that is.

 

It's not that I disrespect Datura, I certainly respect it's magic, you have to have a certain level of respect for all of earth's ceatures no matter how freaky they are, and respect for the plant's powerful magic, it's more that I dont like it, theres a big difference between not liking and disrespecting somthing, I dont like it because of personal cruddy experiances and friends who did similar things, i was locked into an apartment and completely rearanged the joint was wearing nothing but long johns and hiking boots.
my buddy was in boxers and sneakers when he ran fom the cops without realizing it, he was thrown in a mental ward for 3 months over that whole deal.

I just worry about stupid 16 yo's looking for an easy high, I see it all the time and it really worries me.

whatever plants do it's out of our zone, they weren't meant for us in any way, but we've learned to use and manipulate plants and now we're fighting over levels of respect for it.

I've heard a lot of people say you can catch a buzz from smoking it that doesn't flip you out.

You can say you respect it, but you show dissrespect, and what you show is more important then what you say. You and your friends should have taken more precautions, it is your and their fault what happened, not dautura's.

I don't hack away plants like I did as a little kid, so I don't have to feel guilt, I don't hack away bushes at all anomore.

They were out tof you and your friends' zones. You missuse it, then you blame the plant. Seems rather foolish. Datura is not ment to be taken lightly, or for a "happy" trip. One of the really bad things about datura other than it is posion, is not only can you not tell what you see is real or not but you can feel and hear it too. Atlest that was my experance. Also make you hot and thirsty which makes you think you died and are in hell at times.

You are a fuckin dumbass. You are acting like EVERYONE who eats it regularly, which could be once or twice a month, goes nuts, and you are still blaming the plant for your experiance. Yeah, saying "oh, I had a fucked up experiance" is one thing(which of course you will have with datura!), but you are acting like a "bad" trip is bad, when they are sometimes more of a learrning experiance then the good ones. And you are saying that datura is evil and whatnot. Like I said, it's not recreational, and you seem to respect it as that rather then the shamanistic plant it is.
Also, I am noy a kid, I'm almost as old as you, which doesn't mean shit anyway.

I don't mutalate it either. Oce or twice a month is regular usage for psychedelics, especially ones like dautra, to much of anything is fuchind dangerous; it wasn't out of my ass, if you do datura every day or something, of course you will be fucked up.

I cuss everyone out, including my mom, we're a very loud and obtrusive family that often start fights with random people, often with no good reason, mutilating a datura plant, I did it so there would be more room in my mom's vege garden, I think the OP mutilated one for other reasons. weekely is more regular use. Ive seen people use hella Datura, just cuz it's free.
