I learned that the game Borderlands was nothing like I'd expected. Nothing.

Has anyone ever seen the movie 3 Ninjas? It was about 3 young kids who were trained as Ninja's, and used it to fight crime and be surly. It was extremely 90's.

In the 1970's there was a director Shin San Ok and actress Cho Euin-hee in South Korea, who were the Brangelina of South Korean cinema in the 70's. They had recently divorced.

It turns out, Kim Jong Ill was a huge movie fan. To the extent he kidnapped Shin Sak Ok an Cho Euin-hee, took them to North Korea, and forced them to make movies, including a remake of Godzilla in which Godzilla destroys capitalism. Pulgasari.

While they're kidnapped, they fall back in love. Kim Jong Ill eventually takes them to a film festival in Vienna. When they're in Austria, they manage to get into a cab and make an escape, chased down the streets of Vienna by North Korean agents. But they pull into an American embassy in time and ask for asylum. It's granted, and they move to Hollywood after 8 years of being kidnapped in North Korea.

Shin San Ok is the guy who directed the second 3 Ninja's movie. 3 Ninja's Kick Back.

Ha, how did you find out? I'm wondering because the free games of psplus of this month includes a Borderlands game and I already took notice of it at a friend. But... I also know you have xbox, no playstation.

Anyway, my friend said this is quite different than the other Borderlands game he played before: one is open world free roam and the other was mainly quicktime movies, choice making and button mashing.

I'm not sure I'm gonna try it. It might not be bad but I have to be selective

Its what my friends play. I was way off I thought it was like a cartoon version of command and conquer lol. I had to google it.

 

When checking that a tower of giraffes really is a tower of giraffes (see, Asmo, I was QUESTIONING EVERYTHING), I discovered that it's a romp of otters.

 

Well, it's definitely cartoony! In their graphic style. I somehow heard it was an rpg years ago so always took it as such.

 

I read it as a FPS RPG. With guns and magic powers...

I had the original on ps3 . Was hoping for mad max type action but was disappointed. Fallout 3 was heaps better i thought for a similar genre
