yessss!! i'm so pumped to go to college. how far away are you from uconn, and what is your general view of the place?

 

I know two people who went there and ended up transferring after their first year haha. I guess it just depends on what you go to major in and whatnot. Google maps says 1hour40min

 

i started college in the summer of 07 majoring in photography. im currently taking the quarter off from classes though so i dont go back until april and i should be graduating in december instead of the summer. i really like being there, the only reason im taking the quarter off is because when i first started school i never skipped class and got all A's but lately ive been dropping classes, skipping, and stuff like that and just not giving class the focus it needs so rather than continue the way i was going i decided to take a quarter off from school and hopefully when i go back in april ill be more motivated to work better.

 

oh god haha. well the pharmacy/chemistry building is like BRAND new and that's where i'll be spending the majority of my time, so being in new ass buildings with nice padded seats and sweet lecture halls won't be something driving me away. i'm also going to do the pharmacy living and learning community in the dorms, so it's not like my floor is going to be toooo wild, plus they can help me with my homework

 

I'm a sophomore majoring in international and comparative politics. I have been wanting to work in the state department or CIA or something, but I'm interning with a candidate for the state house (I'm his scheduler and working on fundraising and voter mobilization) and really enjoying the whole deal with that, so I'm considering switching to public policy.

I'm taking european politics, american foreign policy, cultural anthropology, and physiological/societal impact of drug use, as well as getting credit for my internship

 

That's pretty sweet. A part of me wishes my school did that for student housing ot assigned certain floors for specific majors. I'm sure some of the Pharm kids will be partying hard :tongue:

 

i went to journalism school at a private university for a year... then i took i a year off and tried to figure out what i'm going to do. i went to state university and nearly got kicked out, but i withdrew before they could kick me out. i got a personal trainer certification and a lifeguard certification.

now i'm going to community college and majoring in art. i'm focusing on pumping up my skills in drafting the human figure, landscapes, and working with a variety of mediums. i'm taking Figure Drawing, Advanced Painting, Color and Design, Printmaking, and Psychology. I just applied to art school and if i get in thats where i'm going in the fall. I'll be majoring in animation and illustration.

my big dream, since i was a little kid, is to be a 3d modeler/animator and make movies like Shrek, Madagascar, or do the character models for gory first person shooters. ideally, i'll be the guy who dreams up and creates the working model for the goblins, trolls, daemons, orcs, werewolves of your xbox480 or ps5.

i'm still a sophmore in highschool but i want to major in video prduction, if i get into any colleges...

 

if thats what you want to do go to Emerson College, one of the best programs in the country for video production. there's also NYU. but i suggest emerson because my friend went there, they put him at their Los Angeles campus for a semester and he got a job on tv show as a boom operator. he came out with a huge network of connections, he's gonna have a job waiting for him when he graduates.

 

yeah, thats what my mom said it's a great school but i doubt i have the grades to get in there.

 

I received my AA (associates) from Miami Dade College in July of 2009, right before getting locked up for 5 months. Just got out, now applying to UF and UCF to finish my Bachelors.

Im studying computer engineering for my bachelors, got my AA in mathematics. Done with differential equations and multivariable calculus, and physics with calculus I and II. I do a lot of independent study though, Im way beyond this, learning number theory and topology. Algebraic geometry is next.

 

In two years Ill be doing Music Technology in Maynooth college along with Bar Management.

The long term goal is to open a proper club in my home town Clonakilty or up in Cork city..none of this trance shite, theres plenty of great local DnB/jungle/dubstep/acid techno producers that get absolutely no coverage. Already got the bones of a system together but this has always been a long term goal of mine. Mainstream club/music scene has seriously gone down the shitter. England seems to be the only place with a good underground club scene with places like Fabric.

Bascially I just want a place where I can legally blast a 20k system with some proper tunes
