There's an entire sports forum here.... post there- it could use a jump start as there's little activity at present.

maybe hipforums is a genetic mutation.

lots of different things are interesting to different people.

watching a bunch of idiots competitively attempt some sort of arbitrary discussion to sound more "hippy" than anyone else is, to me, generally not.

seriously, i don't understand the irrational hatred of sports among those who choose not to participate. hippies, along with most members of counterculture, are supposed to be open minded. yet, bring up a perfectly innocent, healthy, and fun way to pass the time and people flip out and act like you're the spawn of satan for bringing up such an evil concept as physical competition.

i don't know, but it seems like more than a coincidence that most sport-hating hippies and the like are quite unathletic.

my last point: i singled out themnax's post for my example, but i'll admit there were other people (from my real life) that i really had in mind when making this point

hatred is much too strong a word. to hate something would imply giving a shit about it. there are a million zillion things that i do (not hate, but actually do care about). sports is not one of them.

being able to do "aribitrary maneuvers" actually enhances your ability to do day to day movements.

if more people train and workout like a athlete, we'd be a much healthier populace
