IMAX 3D is pretty popular, but with a bigger screen it’s also harder to see the entire screen at once
I rarely go to the movies so i don't have a great overview but I noticed awhile back (when Solo was released) the majority of showings of that movie were in 3d. You had to make an effort to watch it in 2d. This seems to have turned around again happily. If a movie is not specifically made for 3d you don't offer it for the large part in 3d (obviously i would think).
Thats what I meant, only in the last 2 or so years, the 3D thing seemed to have died in the arse again
I didn't know it'd be 3D. I don't remember what I've seen in 3D... hmmm. Ok, got it! This one time when I was 6 or 7 we went to Disneyland and saw this Michael Jackson theme ride called "Captain EO" & it was 3D. I had a Captain EO shirt forever after that too. It got really faded after awhile, but it was initially glow in the dark! I loved that. But I didn't like the 3D. It was really hokey back then... some stuff would pop out and other stuff wouldn't. I remember thinking it was dumb. But it's come a long way I'm sure.
According to a Monday Night Football trailer I say, the episode will be as thrilling as the Super Bowl.
so its world premier has been watched. Here are some mixed reviews! It doesn't spoil anything but adds a lot of color to the margins such that you might not want to read... I mean, even if it's just someone's opinion, if you're a real devout fan you might want to form your own opinion rather than hear someone else share theirs. I haven't seen it yet and won't until it's on DVD I know because that's just how I am; unless my folks want to see it (which I doubt; they're 70 and not avid Star Wars folk) in which case we'd make an event of it and head to the theater. Anyway, I don't mind spoilers or reviews or anything like that. I know I will enjoy it as much as I did Last Jedi, Force Awakens, Rogue One, and Solo. So here's a link to some review material. It's not much; just a couple people's tweets and stuff like that. It looks like some folks felt there was too much of some things/not enough of something etc. So, mixed. I think it's going to be stupendous! Critics be darned! 'Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker': First reactions for J.J. Abrams' finale
I think its gonna be average at best, just like episode 7 and 8. Probably gonna see it in januari. I hope I'm wrong but there are too much indications it's not going to be anything better (for me at least). I can already state I find the prequel trilogy, on which a lot of fans like to shit chronically, better than this last one (and yes: that's without having seen episode 9 so far. That's how certain i feel).
I tapped out after Force Awakens. I actually enjoyed it more than Phantom Menace but with how much it lifted from A New Hope and coming off those prequels, Star Wars lost a bit of mystique and intrigue for me.
btw @hotwater Season 2 of Lost in space starts next week! I'm rewatching season 1. Haha, that dr. Smith imposter. Very entertaining :-D
Someone told me The Mandalorian is gonna have 8 episodes total so it's almost entirely out already. I'm getting them on a usb stick
I thought you said it was shit when it first came out? I still think its like the best looking sci fi tv show ever so far. Cant wait for season 2
No way, I recall what i said: beginning and ending (cliffhanger) real good, but it got a bit too soapy for me in the middle. But I have been looking forward to more ever since the ending of season 1!
