Star Wars: The rise of Skywalker

He gets killed at the end. He gets cast into a chasm. Somehow he has the strength to pull himself out and rescue Rey. Then he just dies.

The whole movie is about how the emperor is on the hidden sith planet with an armada of star destroyers, which are all equipped with a gun that can destroy a planet. Rey needs to get a device which can guide them to the planet. Chewbacca is captured; Rey thinks she accidentally killed him, but then it's discovered he's alive. At the end of the movie he gets a medal to make up for the one he didn't get at the end of a new hope.

We find out Rey is actually a Palpatine, and the emperor killed her parents. She goes to the Sith planet to take him out. A fleet of rebel fighters follows her. The emperor shoots lightning from his fingers and incapacitated the entire fleet. Then he turns his force lightning on Rey, but she holds a lightsaber up and deflects the electrical charges issuing from his fingertips. Then I think he turns into a puddle of splooge or something. It's really dumb.

Well, looks like it will take around the same as LJ at the box office.

Curiously foreign, i.e everything that's not the US, totals are down 5% on what the last 2 movies did

 

That's not surpesing. Tbh I thought the movie before this one was really bad and my least favourite. If it wasn't for the guise of the big screen and surround sound I'd probably give this one a miss at the theatre, though the cinema gift card I got for Xmas helps the cost lol.

Point number two: Where did Palpatine get all those ships from on Exogol?

There are no shipyards on Exogol, and ok, even if the ships were built off planet where did he get the resources to build such a large fleet?
Also, how did the ships get there from their various planets since there were only two wayfinders, and they have to be force activated?

Main point: The only way he could have assembled such a fleet is by literally pulling those ships out of his ass, and don't get me started on how
they managed to reduce the size of the planet killer from the size of a death star to the size of an Imperial Star Destroyer

 

You get that with any sci fi movie

In real life we have drones in 2020. Some civilization that's worked out hyperspeed can't put a Lazer cannon on a giant drone?

 

Has anybody noticed that the jedi always seem to stem from daddy issues? Nope Just me?

It was a popcorn bucket. but the can is only 200ml so a bit of deception tbh a normal medium popcorn is bigger than the tin. I also have the terminator tin, they'll both be put to use in the garage to put things in.

 

Lol and like the Sith dude rejuvenates his hands and fingers from abducting power and life from a jedi and then he goes and abducts the life and power from 2 jedis and he doesn't even get better looking skin. And what sort of a loser is he anyway acting all powerful when he needs a robot to hold him? And what's the go with all the Sith followers sitting in an auditorium doing absolutely nothing? What a poor organisation no wonder they never win.

 

That’s another one of my criticisms;

In the first 8 episodes there was all this talk about bringing balance to the force, but if every Sith ever born exists within Palpatine,
doesn’t that make whatever was previously espoused, sheer nonsense?

 

When you entered the Movie theatre you must have really left your brain in park, or in neutral at best...lol..

 

Hopefully, people who haven't seen the movie haven't read your post.. To start with the words, "spoiler alerts" at the beginning of your post, would have been considerate to others who have not seen the movie yet.

 

I thought palpatine was a woman.
That threw me off a bit. I thought she was a queen or something. But like straight away he starts talking and I'm like omg again with the "hate".

 

Yeah, I get what he's saying but no. It doesn't excuse for every unneccesary illogical aspect. It can for some.
But what was already obvious is that i should see this movie rapidly so i can adequately join in the convo!
