the logical term for an american of european ancestry would be euro-american.
(not "white" which is increadibly silly, nor, as you pointed out, caucasian, unless, their ancestors came from azerbajzhan, in which case they'd still be euro-americans anyway)
the logical term for an american of indiginous descent, would be simply american.
(although i question the approprateness of calling the continents of the western hemisphere after the name of an italian map maker, as indiginous people had been living here for ten thousand years before he was born)

What's a good name for the american continents? Perhaps something in the inca or mayan language.

 

I feel the same way about the term Latin Music. Latin the language has its roots in Ancient Rome and Latin music has its roots in Africa. Even the "Spanish Tinge" comes from the Moores which is a lazy way of saying Morrocan, and the Gypsies which as a word has its roots in Egyptian. Last time I checked both countries are in Africa. So I generally use the terms Afro Cuban or Afro Carribean when talking about music.

since there were close to 600 language spoken in what is now the u.s. alone, one word for what would likely have been considered 'the world', if considered at all, might be as good as another. something anasazi or even pre-cado. i might be able to dig up a tci-akim term, or one from the numuh, but no idea if anyone would have actually used it. i wonder where the names the other continents are known by came from. europe is probably from the greek, but asia and africa, someone probably knows. can't say as i do.

That's what I find not only annoying but actually rather inane.

 

Both are bad but I think it's better to spank a child than to put them on behavior control medications. And if you send your child to a psychiatrist, you are a horrible parent. I believe psychiatrists are shills for big pharma, and they write way too many prescriptions and improperly diagnose and label people with bullshit disorders. In my experience psychiatrists don't even know the difference between situational depression and chronic depression. Nor do they know a damn thing about the importance of diet and exercise for their patients. Instead their answers are pills, pills, and more pills. 67% of anti-depressant prescriptions are given to people who don't even meet the depression criteria. It's a rotten shame that psychiatric designer drugs like these are subsidized by Obamacare, because so many people can take them for free and continue to fuck their bodies and minds up rather than resorting to better lifestyle choices; if these pills weren't subsidized and people had to pay money for them, fewer people would resort to talking pill cocktails at the expense of the taxpayer.

 

I find it sad that every time I hit the new content button,up pops 10 threads regarding some obnoxious sexual gesture or obscene perversion.

Especially disturbing is the fact that one titled "Has anyone ever pissed in your mouth?, is 3 pages deep.

Yeah, its almost as if they've never opened the DSM. And then they go and prescribe 4 or 5 different meds all at once after making a diagnosis based on a single patient visit, this isn't how you evaluate the efficacy of meds ... I can't imagine that they learned that shit in med school. Maybe they picked that up in economics class. Shills for sure. Pharmaceutical companies put lots of money into R&D, gotta make sure demand stays up so they can profit off drugs that are usually just analogues of of their predecessors and in many cases can be substituted for each other.

Fear not. I do not in the slightest take them personally, however they are very annoying.

 

I believe climate change is the work of the Earth and of polar shifting. It is just easy for science to disregard and say 'we' are to blame. The biblical floods were true, just not in the fashion the bible tells us.
