Even though most of those states were former Confederate states I thought from the start Romney wouldn't draw a full Republican vote in the South because any good Southern Baptist can tell a black Christian is a better man than a pagan heritic of a Morman.
Seems my post was misread, Yes Obama was re-elected. That's not what I was commenting on. I was stating that the reason some of these people think they want to secede from the union was because he was black. I have no problem with the color of anybody's skin.
If you find that no one has noticed, it could be because it's simply not true. Perhaps a quick review of US history and geography might fit well into your future.
Perhaps a quick review of US history and geography might fit well into your future as well. Actually, fewer than half of those states listed in the OP are former members of the CSA.
I'm saying that I live in one of those states, and that yes, that's probably a very big part of it. Along with general stupidity. My state is a fascist shithole, it, unlike many states (where the opposite is true), is actually RESTRAINED in it's fascism by inclusion in the US.... greatly restrained. So yeah, they hate black people, and/or are fascist shitheads, who want greater ability to shit in their fascist shithole.
My god, man. Exercise your right to pursue happiness and get out of that shithole -- there's no reason to be miserable.
Well I quite love the geography, and like most fascist shitholes, it's not the majority of the people who make it this way, or want it this way. I'd rather have my voice heard and do my best to change it, than run from it. For instance, by denouncing those who would speak for me and millions of my fellow citizens without our consultation when they ask to break the contract between my state and the union. And yes, many would say that my state originally had the right to leave the union, and so it did -- but when you declare war on a nation, any contract or treaty you had with them is pretty much null and void and you are at their mercy, should they win. And the union won.
Man, that's a message for the cons if there ever was one. But then, they love living in bummer land. What sucks, is they want everybody else to live there with them. They've been obstructing the American recovery for four years, just to try to get rid of the POTUS, and man did that backfire. So now it looks like they plan on doing it again for another four years. No cure for stupid. Thing is, the automatic cuts go into effect in January. Then welfare for millionaires IS OVER! And big cuts in the cons sacred cow(defense) gets gored. Then the liberals will introduce tax cuts for everyone making less than $250k in the new congress, daring the cons to reject the tax cuts. Then, if the cons reject it, any recession is on the cons. What a great election. The cons take it up the wazoo, and us liberals WIN! YEA!!!!!! Oh, BTW I'm very happy.
This nation would not survive another civil war, and these fucking morons flirting with the notion of secession have no idea the kind of fire they're playing with. The United States has been never been viewed with as much hatred and suspicion as it has since G. W. Bush/Cheney put neocon imperialistic insanity into real practice. I guarantee that this would lead to foreign aggression against the United States in the form of an invasion - under the pretense of foreign military and humanitarian aid. All that "country boys will survive" Red Dawn bullshit thinking will become laughable in the face of a divided nation, mass exodus from urban areas and the inevitable civil unrest that will create, plus an equally inevitable foreign invasion. How effective do you think our military will be under such circumstances? Do you think it wouldn't be riven in two? And of the two halfs, who do you think is going to end up with the most destructive weapons (of mass destruction)? (I'll give you a hint, it won't be south of the Mason-Dixon line - remember where Boeing lives). It's a nightmarish scenario, and I guarantee that the people spouting this nonsense the loudest will be the first to get the fuck out of dodge and let all the poor, working class slobs slaughter each other - just like the last time. Any talk of secession is unforgiveably treasonous and essentially anarchistic. If that's you're thing, then so be it, but you'd damn well better be willing to live and die (badly) in the dystopian hell you're flirting with. If the aforementioned states truly want to secede, they should start by barring from themselves all Federal monies - that's not going to happen, because no matter how much you're legislator and/or governor pontificates on State rights, he/she's every bit as much suckling at the Federal teat, and believe me - you'd fire his/her ass quick smart if he/she wasn't, no matter what your attitude towards "socialism" is. Don't believe me? Go ask any farmer or energy mogul in your state if he/she'd be willing to give up his/her federal subsidies in support of his/her ideologies.
hey i got one to think about: if the tea party people are such constituionalists, and the right overall claim they are about the constitution, conserving it, saying the what would our founding fathers do? etc, then WHY ARE THEY SO EAGER TO SAY FUCK THE USA, FUCK THE CONSTITUION, THERE IS A DEM PRESIDENT, LETS SECEDE FROM THE UNION ALREADY!!! wtf dude, talk about hypocrisy lol
i love the idea of seccesion or ceding from the union. look nullification is real and it's in our beloved constitution. we have every right when the federal government becomes corrupt or tyrranical to cede from the union. it's our duty to save following generations from debt or wars or enslavement. sure it's a risky subject becaue of the civil war but now more then ever americans can understand why we need to begin the discussion on this topic. we are americans after all, home of the brave? let's be brave and face down the feds and tell them we aren't going to take it anymore..
It's a mixed bag. Personally, I love the Constitution cause it was written to protect us from bad government. On the other hand, we have a horrible government, and I don't want part in it anymore. Obama, Bush, Nixon, NONE of them respect the Constitution. I hated Bush too. I probably would've wanted to secede then aswell.
Does it truly matter if it is unconstitutional? the government never looks at the constitution unless they are trying to find ways to use it against the people
No, that's not what it's all about. The Constitution is being ignored by the federal Government, by both Dems and Repubs. Sure, some people are jus bitter about the election, but I Bet the majority of these people don't look at it as a dem vs repub thing, but an issue of Liberty and the fed stepping all over the constitution like its a fuckin door mat. They want to live in a land which is governed in the way our founders envisioned, and think that it would be easier to start anew rather than fight a loosing battle against an all too powerful and greedy Government. I see at as more of a statement to the establishment more than an actual attempt to leave the union.
The government will not allow a secession. Those states are just whiny drens who hate that Obama won a second term. They're acting like bratty children who are not getting their way.
