Everyone knew Steve Irwin had a sense of humour
and I found these pictures in a forum on the web
I bet if he could see these now he would have laughed
You gotta admit theyre funny without being sick
see my posts above earlier in the thread I'm not ignoring the fact that
he was a great guy but I acknowledging his sense of humour and just lightening things up here
(edited in after) Damn I thought I posted here about steve irwin and how much I enjoyed his shows. I posted in several other forums about it - anyway I do think he was a great guy and liked him and his programmes a lot. He was a real hero and the Australians wanted him to have a state funeral but the family turned it down - but heres to his sense of humour anyway - dont get mad - he would have thought they were funny Im sure)

I do not see the big deal, or why people are getting so pissy about this. There are many greater people than Steve Irwin, especially when it comes to wildlife perservation and so. He was just a silly host of a popular TV show. He fucked around with animals, and he got what he deserved. Nature strikes back when you push it to its limits. Sure, he had a family... but so do many people who die. Steve Irwin is not better than any other human... and his death does not deserve more recognition than the death of any other human.

I'm not putting him on a pedestal, but he was a good man and it's irrelevent how much he did for Wildlife (even though he did a hell of alot). The point is he had good intent.

i think sometimes pple forget (not saying you guys, just in general) that celebrities are real, actual people too. i never watched his shows really, but everytime i see him on tv or hear something about him i get depressed. its sad when anybody dies, even if they did do something stupid or silly when they were alive, even if it seemed like they had it coming. i still feel sympathy.

He died doing what he loved- going out into the environment and working with animals. In that sense he was more fortunate than most people.

I know this might sound stupid, but he was the last person I expected to die.He was a professional, who knew what he was doing.Sting Rays don't usually attack humans,so yeah it was was pretty weird that he died the way he did.

The whole family situation is a bummer.:( R.I.P

Did anyone see the funeral on TV - even the prime minister of australia was there.
They did the funeral the way only australians could have done.
It was, by European and USA standards a little strange but quite moving none-the-less.
They even had someone tell a few jokes about Steves death, because as I pointed out he was that kind of guy. All this was watched by his wife who really misses him
it was a very sad occassion

I just keep being baffled by the way people kept using the terms 'Freak Accident' or that he wasnt doing anything to 'antagonise' the animal.
    Look,
Its extremely rare to get killed by a Grizzly bear.
    Almost nobody ever does.
    However,
If you do decide to start following a Grizzly, so close that your within its reach and your buddy is in front of the bear and you box it in,
and then it grabs your neck and shakes you dead...
Then its NOT A FREAK ACCIDENT!
    its WHAT HAPPENS.

How do you judge and determine when the Stingray has been 'antagonised'?
    Simple.
    WHEN IT FUCKING STABS YOU!
    Thats when!
Thats 'the proof' it was antagonised.

Im very sad for him and his family obviously but Im just saying this is not some 'fluke' or 'surprising' event.
The guy made a lifestyle of chasing down dangerous animals and then SHOUTING AT THEM HOW GREAT THEY WERE!
    Right in their ears.

Anyways, Norm McDonald is right, 44 is a ripe old age for a Crocodile Hunter.

In Australia, only two other fatalities by stingray had ever been recorded before Steve Irwin's death...

Personally, I think the crocodiles hired the Mysterons to assassinate him..
