I've yet to hear any Rory Gallagher I don't like but I don't yet know it all. I could actually cry over the fact I can't see him live. He's overtaken PJ as my absolute favourite.

I've never actually listened to Pearl Jam save that one song when they guy kills his wife in a car accident by being negligent, which everybody seems to miss that point so it doesn't matter if he's good to get into heaven cause he killed her. :( he ain't seeing her again. She's in heaven but he won't be.

I wouldn't imagine PJ being your thing, Irm.
Not a bad thing : ) just taste. Maybe I'm wrong anyway.

I think I have a pretty broad music taste, it would probably be okay for me as background music. I can listen to anything in background music.

    Fun story
My mom's friend bought my friend and me Pearl Jam tickets when I was 13 or 14, it was my first big concert.
And at the show they said they were going to play a cover, inspired by a car wreck they passed on the way from the previous night's show to this show
(So I guess it isnt that fun of a story).
    It was Last Kiss.
Then like maybe a year later they released it as a single and it blew up. But I heard it first

I think their lyrics get overlooked. The lyrics to Infallible, on the newest album, are good.

Haha, I would have haaaated them at 14. I wasn't keen when I first heard them at 22. Not easy enough for my emo-band attuned ears. They grew on me fast though.

    She seems to be stronger
    But what they want
    Is for her to be
    Weak
    She could play pretend
She could join the game, boy
    She could be another clone

My first gig was ICP when I was 15 :p
My older sister had to take me because she was over 18. I saw them in Sydney then the day after they said they were going to be at HMV record store for a signing, so we also went there to meet them my first time but they got really angry because the store made us all buy something to get a ticket to the in store tour and ICP said nah that's bullshit you don't make money off of us by making them pay for our signatures. They said their signatures are literally worthless. They still did the in store there and I got to meet and cuddle them, but they cancelled the rest of the in store tours, so I was kind of lucky.

I remember I got my sister to buy me merch she comes back with this 3xl ice hockey Jersey lol was basically a tent I literally slept inside of it that night.

My first gig was Incubus at 15.
But really it was when I was 12 and saw Steps. But REALLY it was Incubus at 15 because Steps is not a real gig.

It's very nice outside right now..
    Even though it's raining.
It's actually making me very happy because it's practically 60 degrees. And I have very little clothes on it outside.. and when I mean very little I mean very little. I'd go barefoot footsies in the yard but you know it's a little risky if you can't see I have a dog..

My first real death metal tour was a carcass reunion and I was a little scared lol. I had previously gone to a death metal festival but a more intimate solo tour with warm ups kind of made me feel nervous, like I was a poser.... I hadn't even really listened to any of their songs. I must have been about 18 or 19.

But it was awesome. And I hair whipped Michael amott and we got tangled and the security guard had to untangle us but he kept just playing his guitar and then after the show he gave me a bottle of water. :D

I've also collected some guitar pics. Couple Amon Amarth and fear factory. I had a drumstick in my fingers once but it was taken from my fingers. And I got the two Amon Amarth ones because the guitarist was trying to give one to me but I kept getting swamped so he kept flicking them at me. I ended up with two lol. :p

My first country gig was Steve Earle. I can actually post that concert as it was bootlegged on YouTube. It was fantastic for a solo artist. All he did was sing, harmonica, guitar and stomp board and it was just fantastic. Except he talked between songs. All political stuff. I didn't pay for a lecture...lucky when I saw him again be Was with a band, twice, so I didn't have to listen to politics.

And it's like hey Steve Earle we aren't in America here so nobody gives a shit. :tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy:

Oh and he came out baked as a motherfucker and basically admitted to it half way through.

This was him walking out. It sounded better in person obviously. But look at his eyes and face, he's fucked. :tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy:

I think about half way through he came down a bit and then started all his political talk. I remember telling my wife "he's fucked up" :tearsofjoy:

And he played my favourite song from him Tom Ames Prayer, it has one of my most favourite lines ever in it, but he fucked it in this song, because he does this weird ducking move at the start of it, you can't see what he's doing in the video, but what he was doing was making a gesture to God as if "don't strike me down for saying this" as he sung it.

This was the first real song writing song I really got into, it's about a lost cause boy who finds himself as an outlaw that's about to be killed and he reminds himself about the stuff hes gone through to talk himself into getting out of being killed.

    My favourite line

"well you owe me nothin and as far as I know lord I don't owe nothin to you, and I ain't askin for a miracle lord but just a little bit of luck will do. And you know I ain't ever prayed before but it always seemed to me.. That if prayin's the same as begging lord, I don't take no charity"

I always thought, man that's so badass. :p
