Merry Xmas everybody

I tried something a little different this morning I went with red onion and green apple on the bottom as a side. Seems good so far and works. Served with Joceys secret herbs and spices. And nicely cooked, nailed the crackle and my Bratkartoffeln potato salad.

 

Everyone should just go to the south hemisphere and fuck Christmas I mean I know half of them do it but not really so hard.. Like no one has told me happy Christmas today. Sorry in advance I'm feeling a bit in that mood, like delirious but not, haven't eaten a whole lot because I just finished this GORGEOUS TRAIL or TRACK as they say here and it took four days and I just have SO much to say but I'm probably exhausted. Exhausted and chatty and overwhelmed by the fact I cannot right now read 800 posts in this thread. I walked about 30km today now I've found the coolest little camp ground. I LOVE Buller district. I was going to stay over the other side for a while but I got restless for NZ west coast. It's my favourite place. Hello everyone : )

I don't plan to go back to the house anytime soon.
Also no one hitch hikes in the UK it's seen as weird and creepy and I know some places in states it's illegal, right? But here it is normal and acceptable and I find it totally addictive. I never stand and just wait, always walk at the same time. Then I figure even if no one stops I will get there in a week : ) but when those break lights go and an indicator flash, kind of a buzz man

 

I didn't know whether some places are illegal to hitch hike in the states. I guess i'm out of it when it comes to many things.

I'm really glad I gave up shampoo before this trip. It makes it so much easier not to feel gross. And I can just wash it in a river and it doesn't feel or look bad at all. I don't think it even needs hot water.

Oh, Fae and Mel.. I have to concede a bit on the whole men women company thing. I've had some lovely chats with ladies.. Two German girls invited me in their van for tea and it was fun but you know what it is, with women I feel like I have to carry the conversation more.. The best night was two guys. The problem with men is that after five minutes of friendliness, too often something perceptibly changes, something to do with them considering sex all of a sudden and it just repels me, I feel I have to go all walls up. They do it so fast, so many of them. These two guys were great because the French man who was maybe 38ish was gay.. And the kid with him who was German, he was just 18 and they'd met WOOFFing and French man was taking German kid off on his first week long fishing trip in the mountains. So there was none of that sexual bullshit they were just really fun company : ) it did make me think maybe you guys are right. But I like to think if WE all hung out it might be different? Maybe it's just having slightly more male energy than some women. I don't mean being masculine. But like, I didn't feel those guys were as much EFFORT as the girls. With girls I have to keep asking questions or else it's like they don't know what to say. So yeah. It's not always the competitive nonsense that I thought it might be.

I'm all for feast and celebration but I wanna do that at least once a week anyway. Christmas is unnecessary.

EXACTLY! When I was a kid I was like... Ahh why can't Christmas be every day. Now I'm a big kid, a kid with the power of an adult.. And I realised.. it can!! But I don't call it Christmas I just call it life : P

We just saw Jumangi 3. I was a little disappointed. I pretty much went to see a Chris Hart because he made me laugh in the 2nd movie. He's a short black guy who played a big black guy so it was funny but in this movie he plays an old black guy so it wasn't as funny as I'd hoped. They actually switched roles back to normal about 3/4 way through but the damage was done.

 

I think so I think the hipforum ladies could all just adventure together and act silly and there wouldnt be this pressure to keep up a steady stream of conversation, it would come more naturally
